Furst Steps: Puppy Education, Training & Socialization

If you’re looking for the BEST doggy daycare, Furst Steps is it—no question. I’ve tried another daycare for day boarding on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the difference is night and day. At the other place, my dog Mabel was scared to even walk through the doors. It broke my heart. But Furst Steps? Completely different story. The second we turn onto Norristown Road, Mabel starts crying with excitement in the backseat—and I mean happy crying. When we pull up, she practically launches herself toward the front door. She cannot wait to get inside. As a dog mom, that tells me everything I need to know. She feels safe, loved, and genuinely happy there. There is zero comparison between the two places—Furst Steps wins in every way, and we won’t be going anywhere else. I am so appreciative of the care they give Mabel. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in how the dogs respond. Highly, highly recommend.

This is the gold standard of puppy training and daycare. The facility always smells clean. The staff are knowledgeable and respectful, and their number one priority is your dog's safety and they are kind and honest about your dog's progress and behavior. Not once has my dog come home with a single scratch on him. Every time we pull up he's thrilled to go inside. When we put Herbert into the Furst Grade program, he was exposed to so many real world situations and how to deal with them. Strollers, vacuums, random objects, you name it. He had free play time to socialize and structured time to take a nap and relax. Now he goes to Enrichment Daycare and I know he's placed with other dogs who are his size, socialized correctly, and have never had a single bad incident to report. I just drop him off and go knowing he's having a ball and will come home safe at the end of the day. The proof is in the behavior changes you experience at home. At 4 months old after we enrolled him in Furst Grade, he IMMEDIATELY started being more gentle and respectful with our senior dogs, and trying to sit on his own when he wanted something. My husband who is a veterinarian refers to them all the time. Do not wait to send your dog here, you will not regret it for one second!

We got a puppy almost a year ago and have been going to furst steps the minute we could get her in. We had some struggles with our puppy because of her breed and Alex has been so helpful guiding us through the issues. Additionally, the training works!! And also I think it’s soooo important to note how much our pup loves coming here! We used them for the training and now we use them for enrichment daycare. You can even add on services like nail cutting, extra training if need, little treats, and they do little birthday parties and events. If you’re looking for great care for your dog without any worries, take your pup here! You won’t regret it. I mean you want to see how happy my dog is while she’s here?
