I can’t say enough good things about Shelly at Fur Keepers Pet Services. She has been walking our two boys, Maverick and Tuck, since we moved into our home, and she has quickly become someone we genuinely love and trust. What means the most to us is how much she truly cares about our dogs. Maverick has been going through chemotherapy, while Tuck is a rescue who has struggled with separation anxiety and apprehension with strangers. When Maverick got sick, Tuck’s anxiety got significantly worse and he really regressed. Shelly took the time to understand what was going on with both of them and has always been so patient and thoughtful with their individual needs. She regularly checks in on the boys, even when we aren’t using her services, just because she wants to know how they’re doing. She has also gone above and beyond by making thoughtful recommendations to help them, including suggesting aromatherapy for Tuck while we’re away. It has made such a noticeable difference. He is calmer, happier, and much more content when we leave him alone. Finding someone who loves our dogs like they’re her own has been such a gift. We feel incredibly lucky to have Shelly in our boys’ lives and would recommend Fur Keepers to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely love and care for their pets.

We used Fur Keepers Pet Services & Training to watch our two dogs while we were away for four and a half days—and we are beyond impressed! Not only did Shelly take amazing care of them (they were happy and relaxed when we got home), but she also accomplished what we honestly weren’t sure was possible: she got them to stop their nonstop barking! We had asked for some training help while we were away, and Shelly worked her magic. When we got back, the dogs were already responding to a “hush” command—and even better, we had been trained too! She showed us how to follow through so the dogs actually listen to us now. I work from home, and barking used to be a constant background soundtrack to my day. I asked Shelly to care for my pet rabbit and lizard for an entire month while I was displaced between moves. I was so happy when she told me she would care for them. Not only did she care for my animals, but she taught me how to better care for my rabbit by showing me some different foods and even tricks with the litter to reduce odor. She was awesome. Now, I use Fur Keepers every time I go out of town. They’ve earned my repeat business.
