How much work do I have to do?
That depends on you and your dog. However, most owners find that if they work with their dog for at least 20 minutes, 2 times a day, they will see remarkable results.

We use a 'motivational' dog training approach. This method uses a combination of Traditional training and Positive Reinforcement training - tailoring programs to fit each individual dogs' temperament and needs.
We use a variety of training equipment - depending on what will work best for each dog and owner team.
Motivational Trainers reward through praise, treats, toys - whatever works for the owner and dog.
They also give leash guidance to the dog and owner to stop or control problem behaviors that are destructive, annoying, or dangerous.

Weekly or every-other-week training sessions generally work best, but we know sometimes life gets hectic. So, we try to be as flexible as possible with meeting your scheduling needs.

While it's impossible to estimate cost until we meet your dog, we have programs from around $900 to $1800 - completely depending on what we're working on with your dog. Our goal is to find the service that works for you and your individual needs. We also offer financing through PayPal Credit.
Ask yourself this: How much does a waste of time & money cost? Amateur dog trainers usually charge around $400 to $600 per 6 week course. They do NOT offer specialized behavior modification methods. Imagine paying good money and then your dog is more aggressive, destructive, obnoxious, and disobedient than before.
Over 50% of the dogs we see each year have already been to large group training classes with an amateur dog trainer. Another 30% of the dogs we see each year have been to other private trainers or board and train programs, and in some cases have spent thousands of dollars on methods that just don't work. Training without a good foundation doesn't give reliable, predictable results.

I have had such good experiences learning how to train my dogs at Front Range K9. I have trained 4 dogs with them. Recently, we rescued a large, young Labrador who was reactive, and he's transformed into a responsive, connected, well behaved loving companion. They know dogs and provide training that is effective and is in a 'language' that dogs speak- so it's good for the dog, not punitive. It helps you build a healthy relationship with your dog. I highly recommend!

Wow!!! What a great Snake Avoidance training experience we had with or dogs Piper (Mini Ozzy) & Casper (Lab)
Jennifer did a fantastic job helping them understand the visual signs of a snake & the scents from them. We are very happy we took the to Front Range K9 Academy.

We had a great experience at Front Range training. We took the rattlesnake avoidance class led by Jordan who was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and made us and our dog feel comfortable throughout the entire process.

We have had an uptick in snake sightings in the neighborhood this year (including our own backyard). Our pup is as curious a cat so a class was definitely a must.
Drayvin was our instructor.. Her qualifications and experience with venomous snakes made her an ideal trainer.. She explained the entire process in detail prior to the actual training which made everything go smoothly. Our puppy definitely left that class with a major aversion to snakes. We will sign him up each spring for a refresher class. Thank you Drayvin!
