Fremont Dog Training Club

Fremont Dog Training Club has not had any recent reviews, so I wanted to make sure that anyone needing a training class for their dogs to please check these classes out. We have been coming for 5 weeks. Our last class is next week. I have had a great time learning how to train my dog and my dog has improved on the commands he already knew. He's a 5 year old rescue. This class included more things than I thought. We learned to walk around cones, walk our dog at a fast pace then a slow pace, walking our dogs near other dogs. This comes in handy on a walk. Kathy has been a great trainer and will tell you the things to work on. Due to Covid, our class was about 9-10 dogs. Perfect! The room is marked with green tape to keep everyone safe. I like the fact that the dogs do not get to sniff each other or have play time. Its a place to learn and train your dog. I was quite worried about taking my dog who barks and pulls at dogs while walking. Well, we have made progress. Learning the commands and keeping him at a heel position has been so helpful. Walking your dog, does not mean they get to walk wherever they want to. My goal, was to have a dog that was a good citizen on walks and by golly, he is! Just because you go to training does not mean your dog is trained. Training is an everyday task; otherwise your 6 weeks was all for nothing. I am already looking forward to taking him to the Intermediate class. By the way, Cooper and I say, thank you and we've had a fun time!!
