I have been raising dogs since I was a little boy & over the last years 50+ years, have developed the gift of being able to understand them, their body language, and in essence, the ability to communicate with them on some level. After I retired, I decided to put my "gifts" and abilities to formal use and after a year of studies and exams with Animal Behavior College, I became a certified dog trainer. Using non-aversive positive reinforcement, I teach dogs basic behaviors such as sit, stay, come, down, etc. and help dogs with undesirable behaviors learn alternate more rewarding acceptable behaviors. In addition, my specialty is working with fearful dogs and dogs with aggression issues, with numerous hours of experience in doing so.

I recently moved to Spokane, and my Jack Russell has been having a tough time adjusting, while my other dog, who’s always been shy, has struggled with that all his life. Freddie's expertise as a dog trainer and dog parent coach has already made a noticeable difference within a few hours. Both of my dogs took to him quickly, which speaks volumes about his kind, gentle, yet assertive approach. He truly understands dogs on a deep level.
After just one session, I feel more in control, and my Jack Russell, who is usually high-energy, is currently napping—proof of Freddie’s effectiveness! Beyond grateful for the knowledge Freddie offered regarding our highly reactive 10 month old rescue GSD/Husky. Freddie was able to see Ruger at his worst while spending the entire time building trust and focusing on the “whys” of his triggers. The compassion Freddie had for everything our pup went through prior to coming to us at 6 months old created a calm, patient and non judgmental environment. Freddie gave much hope that Ruger’s trauma can and will be a thing of the past with ongoing training, unconditional love and safe place we continue to provide. Thank you Freddie!

I really enjoyed my session and I think my dogs did too. I have four big dogs and it can be a bit overwhelming but Freddie was professional, kind, calm, cool, and collected. I gained a lot of good tools to best learn how to lead my pack.

I was very pleased with everything I learned. I learned how to introduce my dog to people, how to get him over the fear of people, and how to be a leader. I feel very hopeful about the future going forward with training my pup. I couldn't thank him enough for everything he taught me. I highly recommend him.
