Foley's Dog Training

My dog Winnie likes a challenge. These classes have taught her a wide of variety of agility skills and pushed her to pay attention and think through problems. As the handler, these classes have shown me how to better communicate with Winnie so that she knows what we are trying to accomplish. I like how the classes build on each other so that we develop a set of skills, and that the instruction/feedback is very specific to what Winnie and I need to work on.

E is an excellent dog trainer. My dog, Olive, was a highly reactive, anxious dog, who didn't have any public spaces accepting of her needs. The increasing rate of off leash dogs in our neighborhood made it harder and harder to safely exercise Olive. We turned to agility as a way to exert her energy in a safe environment. E provided just that! I couldn't have been happier to watch my Olive transform into a confident dog. She was still reactive, but had a deeper bench to make the better choice. Things that got better for us as a result of agility with E: - trips to the vet! Olive uses "paws up" to get on the scale and keep herself busy. - trips in the car. Olive learned that trips in the car always led to somewhere fun, including when we drove cross country. We used agility to play at each rest stop. - comfort with other dogs. Olive went from being a single dog only kind of dog to happily living with a second dog, which I think was a result of safely being around lots of dog smells at E's place.

E a favorite, if not our favorite, dog trainer. She is great with both dogs and their custodians. She has a light touch and a great sense of humor, but she also has a sharp eye and provides timely corrections and excellent tips. Our dog, Miku, has attended both Rally and Agility lessons with E, and she loves them. She gets very excited when she knows she’s going to E’s, and afterwards she is as happy as happy can be. The facility she uses with Your Dog’s Friend is excellent -- roomy and very well equipped -- but we also hope to make it to her Laurel facility in the near future. Can’t recommend her enough.
