Joshua, I’m very sorry that you were upset that I pointed out (along with many others) in a Facebook group dedicated to “uncensored opinions” of breeders that there are no reputable breeders of German Shepherd Dog/Heeler (aka Australian Cattle Dog) mixes. It doesn’t even appear to be a mix intentionally bred besides “oops” litters. I suggested you check animal shelters for one.<br><br>Additionally, you stated a laundry list of behavioral and SEVERE medical issues (i.e. megaesophagus, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and degenerative myelopathy), you were willing to accept in the dog. You further went on to state that you intended to use this dog in SAR (search and rescue) work, despite all of these things being an immediate “wash” for a SAR dog. I wish you the best of luck in finding a dog that fits your needs, but you need to evaluate whether you want to adopt a special needs dog or get a dog that is suitable for the rigorous physical and training needs of a SAR dog.<br><br>As you stated, you are not a client of mine, and in fact, you are located about a thousand miles away from me. I will work with any breed or mix gladly. Many of my clients are mixed-breed dogs.<br><br>I’m not entirely sure what prompted you to give a small business a bad review for trying to help you find a suitable dog, but I hope you at least had somewhat of a learning experience from what I and many others said, even if your anger is misplaced.
