I highly recommend Flash Dog Training for anyone who wants to improve their dog's behavior and skills. My dog learned excellent recall and became less fearful of other dogs and strangers after his time there. The staff was very patient, friendly, and professional. Flash Dog Training customized the training to suit my dog's needs and personality. I am very happy with the results and so is my dog! The training was worth every penny. I now have confidence in my dog (and myself) in any situation and we enjoy our walks and outings more than ever.

Before his time at Flash, Jack was reactive and had no leash manners. I couldn’t take him outside without a barking fit that I couldn’t control and couldn’t leave my house because of his separation anxiety. Since coming home from Flash, Jack is the most well behaved dog on the trail. We can pass by dogs with ease, I can leave the house without Jack bothering the neighbors with his barking, and I have an overall better relationship with my dog. Jess and everyone at Flash took extremely good care of him while he was there for the board and train, and continue to do so every time I bring him back for boarding. I’m forever thankful to Jess and Flash Dog for changing our lives.

Jess and the staff at Flash Dog Training in Redmond are fantastic! As first time puppy owners, we weren’t sure what to expect from the sleep away week puppy camp and were somewhat nervous about sending our 9 week old Portuguese water dog, Olive - we were happy that we did! She was so well loved and cared for during the camp. The building blocks for training and the exposure she received at camp during the imprinting period was well worth the investment. She came back from camp potty trained, well socialized with other dogs, with great name recall and walked well on leash, particularly heeling! We appreciated the follow up sessions with Jess, to continue to train my husband and I on how to be the best owners for Olive after she got home. Would definitely recommend the sleep away puppy camp and thank you to Flash!

When we first brought Harold home we realized we were in a little over heads. He was a bouncy, energetic boy who displayed issues with separation anxiety, toy aggression, extreme prey drive and absolutely no recall. We have another dog in the house and a cat and wanted to make sure all were protected from any disagreements. I took Harold to another trainer in town and did not like their approach to prong collar training so a friend recommended Flash Dog Training and it has completely changed our lives and Harold’s obedience. At first, Harold would follow me from room to room and whine and cry when left alone in his kennel. Now he goes in willingly and doesn’t mind sleeping all night in his kennel. He’s comfortable spending hours on his “place” bed and only vocalizes when he needs to go outside to potty. The “place” command has been a game changer for us and we now trust him in areas outside we never thought we could. Anytime a trigger goes by, we remind him “place” and he settles down immediately. Harold got into a few scraps with other dogs over toys and it made me nervous having him around others especially if there were toys around. Jess (Harold’s trainer) taught me how to control his excitement level and prevent unwanted scuffles. We live in a very dog friendly town and most of our friends have dogs. Before training I was very nervous about taking him on walks with other dogs or encountering any unknown dogs in our day to day, not sure how Harold would react. Now I am so much more confident taking him anywhere; he listens to me, checks in with me and when we encounter other dogs I am able to control his excitement through the e-collar. Before training Harold would lunge, scream bark and fixate on squirrels and other small prey, and he would chase our cat. We were unable to break his concentration on any triggers or have an enjoyable walk and we were worried he would continue to chase our cat. Jess worked with him with the e-collar and taught us and him how to bring that fixation down and ignore any triggers. He now leaves our cat alone and when on walks he may vocalize a little when seeing a squirrel, but through the e-collar I am able to redirect his attention and we can continue walking calmly. We started with a dog who only really knew sit, refused to lay down, sometimes came when called, completely ignored us when he was interested in anything else and would take off when not restrained. There were a couple times he rushed out the front door or the car before we could catch him and he was just gone. One time he was gone in the woods for at least ten minutes before we heard him rustling around and were able to go find him. When we brought Harold home from training he was almost a new dog. His goofy personality remained, but he listened to us and followed commands. We were able to take him to the beach off leash 1 month after picking him up and he did great, something we were worried we would never be able to do with him before Flash Dog Training. Harold will even walk in a heel without a leash and I feel confident knowing that if he does take off after a scent, I have the ability to call him back to me. Taking Harold to Jess and Flash Dog Training was the best decision we’ve ever made and we will definitely be taking any future dogs to be trained at Flash.
