First Choice Canine

Our 2.5 border collie was always stressed and barked at vacuum, shade, bikes, ski, males. We have her in first choice canoe for 4 weeks and she came back much more calm than her used to be. She doesn’t bark on those things and will come back when we call her name. We let her walk off leash on quiet streets and she did very well. She can rest quietly at home by herself and won’t follow me around all the time. We have signed up for group lessons that are offered. Cannot wait to see her behavior around other dogs.

I cannot say enough about KB, Ashleigh & their team. When I brought Cash (our new rescue) for a consultation, I noticed one of the dogs pictured on the wall, I asked KB if that was Blaze, he responded with it was. He did training with Blaze & his owner Susan 10 years ago & to say Blaze is the most well behaved dog is an understatement, but what honestly sold me was KB remembering the details of their training as well as the secret word they used if Blaze was to even get away! That’s someone who truly values what they do! Fast forward to Cash completing his training program & we are very happy with his progress, he went in only knowing sit (at 2 years old) we picked him up at the end of his training with him knowing all the commands, I was starting to think he would never lay down & stay, now all we do is put him in place & we can cook & eat without him breaking. We also just attended our first group class after his training & we can’t wait for the next one. Truly thankful we found KB, Ashleigh & their team!

KB & the team provided an impressive training experience for my 6 year old German Shepard / Husky mix. She faced a lot of anxiety and fear that showed up as slight aggression and self protection. Now she is feeling more confident in herself and able to take independence instead of being always anxiously attached to me. What has been key to the 5 week board and train program is the continued training that I get to take a part of now. KB has supported me in gaining my confidence to work with Nyla....and we have a blast doing it! I always leave the sessions feeling so empowered and capable. I highly recommend making the investment of this training Looking, especially if you are motivated to continue all that is learned at home. A more peaceful life with your dog awaits. We have two large 70 pound male dogs. One with fear based aggression and the other with anxiety. Walking them was horrible. They pulled, barked and lunged at other dogs and people. As they got older fights would break out with the worst one requiring multiple stitches. It was horrific to watch and no way to break it up. We were stressed and did not have the skills to mange them. We thought we would have to make some hard decisions. First Choice Canine gave us all a second chance. We put both dogs in the boarding program. At first our pit/bully mix was extremely aggressive with trainers but by the end of his training he was following commands sitting and laying with other dogs. The one on one training and maintenance classes really help to build confidence in managing dogs and provide realistic expectations I can walk two 70 lb dogs with confidence and have guests in my home. First Choice Canine training and guidance is second to none and worth every penny.
