First Choice Canine

We sent our 14 month old rescue pup to the board and train program at First Choice. She was very sweet and affectionate with us, but very fearful and nervous around strangers and would consistently bark pretty aggressively at them. We couldn't really have conversations with neighbors while we were on walks because she would bark so much. She emerged from the program at First Choice a different dog. In addition to having exceptional obedience, she is infinitely less anxious, and as a result, an overall happier dog. She is still nervous in some higher stress scenarios, but does not act on that nervousness with barking, and she gets more and more confident as we follow the advice from First Choice at home and take her out in public places. The transition from the board and train to home is exceptionally thorough with follow up sessions after the dog returns home, and you can tell when seeing the staff in action that your dog receives great care there, even though they are following a strict training regiment. We are so happy that we sent our pup to First Choice and would absolutely recommend them.

I can't say enough great things about this place! After an initial consultation, we enrolled our dog Milo in the 5 week behavior modification program. We were VERY nervous about leaving him because it was the first time he would be away from us (except for occasions when we left him with family). The trainers were very responsive and sent picture updates throughout the 5 weeks. They answered all of our questions and even called us on a few occasions to talk more in depth about his training. Even now, they always make time to answer our questions and we are able to being Milo to socialization follow up sessions to be around other dogs and people! Before bringing him to First Choice, Milo was fearful of new people, reactive on leash, and a bully to other dogs. He was very impulsive, which made us nervous about his behavior with people around. Now, I can take him on walks with more confidence. He is listening to commands and enjoys training sessions at home. We still have a lot to work on because training is a life long process, but we would not be where we are today without First Choice Canine! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone and will continue to take my future dogs here for years to come.

This place is amazing and I could not recommend it enough! From the second I walked in for our consultation I felt welcomed into the facility. The property is beautiful and well kept, the owner and staff are so kind and professional. I felt 1000% comfortable trusting my dog with First Choice Canine and am beyond satisfied with the results of the training. It has been a remarkable transformation for our Charlotte and has made such a big difference in our daily living. We are so thankful. For First Choice Canine and look forward to group classes as Charlotte just loves coming here!
