Finishing School for Dogs LLC

To be honest, I was a bit nervous to have a stranger in my house telling me all the things I'm doing wrong with my dog, and all the things I should be doing. Let me say she exceeded my expectations! Roxy is very professional and delivers information in a way that's easy to understand and made me feel even more comfortable training my own dog. She opened my eyes and was very creative with creating training scenarios. The followup emails are very helpful, and she offers lifetime support. I would recommend her to anyone that has a "troublesome" dog!

Roxy is a fantastic resource. Even though I’m not currently a client of hers, she took time to give me some amazing tips and advice about puppy training. She is committed to positive reinforcement practices, which have strong scientific grounding. Her advice was thorough and shows her experience and dedication to staying up-to-date with the best methods. She referred me to a number of resources, both local trainers and international experts. I’m excited to work with her in the future!

Roxie came to help me with my four dogs, two of which have some aggression issues. After she had initially spent 45 minutes on the phone with me, I was so excited for her to come out. I am pretty good with dogs, but I had reached a wall and didn't know where to go from there. She far exceeded my expectations! She gave us so much guidance to begin to retrain our dogs in a positive way. And our dogs responded to her! Her critique of us was helpful and honest. She sent us many helpful resources to further our education. I absolutely love her and highly recommend her services!

I'd leave 10 stars if I could! Roxy was a dream to work with, she knows her stuff and is a fabulous and patient teacher! Roxy came to work with me on my newly rescued 1.5 y/o nervous nelly min pin on reactivity, barking, jumping and some basic commands. She also included my 12 y/o lab in the process which was awesome. In our 2 hr. session I feel I was given the hands on practice and scenarios that are really going to help both me and my dogs be successful and live more social/peaceful lives :) I have a good deal of dog training knowledge but my partner has none and Roxy was totally able to curtail her lessons and explanations to both of us in a way that helped us feel confident and empowered to help the dogs. She also followed up with amazing resources and training plans for moving forward. Best decision I've made for my new (and old) pup! I would recommend Roxy in a heartbeat. If you are on the fence about having a trainer come to you DO IT!
