We’ve had Bear back with us for just one week after the six week board and train program at Fidelity K9, and the improvement is honestly unbelievable. It’s hard to put into words how much better life already feels with him home. Is he perfect? No. He’s still an 8-month-old German shepherd and definitely has his moments. But now we have the tools and knowledge to keep him in a good place 95% of the time. And it’s only going to get better with the continued work we’re putting in, thanks to everything we learned from Steve. Before we dropped Bear off, his whining, biting, and overall drive were completely out of control. While we’d never consider giving him up, we were truly at our wits’ end. We had spent thousands and thousands of dollars on other trainers. And while there were small improvements, nothing really stuck. No matter how hard we tried, he was still overwhelming to handle and be around for most of the day. When it came time to drop him off, I was honestly really sad and nervous. Bear is part of our family, and the thought of leaving him for several weeks was tough. But from the moment I met Steve and his team, I knew he was in the right hands. They truly love and care for the dogs they work with, and that gave me so much peace of mind throughout the process. I ended up driving Bear all the way from New York to Nebraska to give this program a shot, and I’m so glad I did. As I write this, Bear is calmly napping on his bed. He’s not biting for attention or whining for treats. On our walks, he stays right by my side and doesn’t lose it when he sees birds or other dogs. And this morning, there was no crying in the crate. He just waited patiently until I got up. I can pet my dog without him biting my arms and hands. He’s finally becoming the dog I always wanted. I just needed some professional help to get us there. After his 6 week program, I saw my now 3 year old German Shepherd, Hans, who ran the house and took me for walks turn into an obedient gentleman who I can safely take for multiple walks a day. I have a Aussie, Dax, that is a bit on the aggressive/protective side of the spectrum and needed to find a place I could board him and provide him the training & handling he needed. I decided to stop by Fidelity K9 after driving by it frequently and haven’t regretted it one bit. Steve was awesome right out of the gate, demonstrated how he works and understood Dax super quickly. I’ve done the 6 week board and train as well as MANY nights of boarding over the last few years and it’s to the point where Dax is showing SIGNIFICANT improvement from prior to his visits with Steve and his crew. They’ve taught me how to handle him better as well. Steve does a great job hiring talented people. Dax absolutely loves getting to work with Ethan. Now, days leading up to a trip, I’ll say “you’re going to see Steve and Ethan this weekend” and Dax goes crazy with excitement. Definitely recommend bringing your dog here!
