My 9 month collie was not unruly, but he sure was obstinate. As the pandemic waned and parks became repopulated his off leash opportunities seemed to shrink by the day. I had seen a trainer for a few sessions and the unstructured methodology never took roots in me or my pup. Before I got to Fetchmasters for my first sessions I already had huge expectations and was so excited. A mandatory zoom call I hope would dissuade those not serious about putting in the time - modest but useless without consistency. By the end of that first dig session we had barely done work with my dog but my perspective had completely changed and looking back I can’t describe how much better we relate (me and my dog) thanks to the few core building blocks in obedience I was taught. Now a few months later I have a dog that I feel confident giving freedom and who surely enjoys the perks that his reliable behavior has allowed. Best of all - no negative reinforcement. Have I mentioned they have goats, chickens, ducks, pigeons, and even miniature horses. Surely if your dog behaves in that mayhem he will comport properly anywhere. I am very thankful that I found Fetchmasters. My husband and I picked up Daisy, our Sheepadoodle puppy, in March 2020 just as everything was shutting down for the pandemic. I tried to work on obedience training at home, but Daisy is very high energy, has a high prey drive and will chase anything that moves. She would not listen and taking her for a walk was pretty miserable because she pulled so hard. I discovered Fetchmasters when Daisy was about 6 months old and started their group classes immediately. They do all positive training (for dogs as well as their humans). Linda, Jessie, Tom and Julia have all been so helpful. If I am trying something with Daisy that isn't working, I can talk to any of them and they will give me different ideas to try. We are currently taking the Strong Foundations, Mastering Distractions, Mastering Manners and also a tricks class. I am training Daisy to be a therapy dog, so she needs to be very well mannered. She has passed Fetchmasters Level 1 Obedience and also recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test. Daisy also earned her Novice Trick Title, thanks to the fun tricks class. Now when we take Daisy out in public, we get compliments about how well behaved she is. I feel confident that she will mind her manners and listen to me in stores, on restaurant patios and when doing outdoor activities. She also walks very calmly on a leash, even if a rabbit runs out in front of us. She is still interested, but no longer lunges and tries to chase after the rabbit. Her recall is at least 100% improved since we started training. I was able to call her to come to me the other day when she was watching the rabbits in our back yard. She came right to me when I called her and sat politely in front of me. This is all thanks to Fetchmasters amazing training program. I look forward to much more progress as we continue our training. I can't thank everyone at Fetchmasters enough.

Our dog Whiskey is Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd mix who we adopted at about 8 months. She is loyal, protective and sweet - but we really struggling to get her to walk on a leash and have a reliable recall. In addition - she has an extremely high prey drive; if it moves, she wants it. We were getting a little frustrated and started thinking that a prong collar, e-collar was in her future. But then we found Linda and Tom at Fetchmasters and their positive training approach. While it took some work on our part - Linda did a wonderful job of helping guide us to where now Whiskey is a sheer pleasure to walk and stays in a focused heel throughout. People are always complimenting us now on how well mannered and obedient she is. Whiskey achieved her level one obedience (which is a much higher bar at Fetchmasters than most schools) and she has now been working on the next level of Mastering Distractions. While Whiskey remains very 'interested' in small prey, she has made huge strides in not completely losing her mind when she sees a rabbit running across the street. There really is nothing like having a class where there are lots of other dogs around and access to rabbits, chickens, rats, homing pigeons and baby goats to challenge your dog to truly pay attention to you - no matter what. From the initial consult to the individualized training classes and then group sessions - as well as the podcasts and countless tricks out of Linda's toolbox, we never felt stuck and now have a well mannered, happy dog. We started working with Linda in December of 2020 for our leash reactive dog Lenny. We had previously worked with another trainer and did not feel we were seeing any progress. When we found Fetchmasters, we decided to try it out and see if we could help our dog become more calm and obedient when on walks. We have come so far in the last 5 months that we can walk past another dog on the sidewalk, and Lenny does not react. This was not possible before, and would make walks in the neighborhood a huge pain. He now knows to listen to us and to respond to our training queues. We could not have gotten to this point without the help from Linda at FetchMasters, who would take extra time to talk to me on the phone when extra help was needed. The group classes are also very helpful for us because it is scheduled time to practice Lenny's obedience while in the presence of triggers and distractions. The Fetchmasters team has been so helpful and supportive in our training journey and have given us the tools we need to be successful, as well as helping Lenny become more calm and relaxed in the presence of other dogs. I recommend Fetchmasters to anyone looking to train their dog.

Pomeranian owner here! This is a long post, but I have a lot of feelings about FetchMasters. Thank you in advance for reading! :) I cannot say enough good things about my experience training under the FetchMasters Total Dog Program. I've been working with senior trainer, Jessie, since November 2020 with my two Pomeranian puppies, Kona and Nori. I wanted to be part of the training experience from the beginning of their time with us. We were going to train at Petsmart, but the location nearest to us was not offering training classes, so we ended up at FetchMasters instead. Thank goodness we did!! I will firstly say that it was often intimidating for both myself and my puppies being the smallest dogs in class (by a lot), but we received the same quality training every other dog owner received, and small dog specific advice. It's also a perfectly SAFE environment for my small dogs, even with big dogs around. Jessie's and Linda's knowledge of all dog types and behaviors seems to be endless, and they are both great to work with and exceptionally kind. They've both been understanding and responsive to the concerns I've had, which makes me feel important and valued. If I had one complaint, it would be that I wish more small dog owners would train here, which is no fault to the company. If my dogs had more small dogs to socialize with, it may have been a more positive experience. Which takes me to my next point for small dog owners... Train your tiny dog here! It is worth it to have an incredible small dog that defies expectations! People look at my dogs and expect to be barked at, growled at, etc. NOPE! If you treat my dogs with respect, they will happily be your friend, and I attribute that to the great start we got from training here. Plus, other problems like peeing/pooping in the house, chewing things they shouldnt, excessive barking, etc. are nonexistent in my dogs. Your small dog deserves your time and training. They (and you) deserve FetchMasters training! The result is an incredible, adorable, reliable, tiny dog that behaves appropriately in every situation!
