Can’t say enough good things about Fetching Feathers. We dropped our Brittany puppy off for Anthony’s 3 month program where they worked on obedience and bird work. We couldn’t be happier with the results and with Anthony and his team. The Fetching Feathers team is highly experienced, transparent, and professional. They send report cards, training videos, and encourage visits. We visited multiple times during our dogs stay and each visit we were more and more impressed with his progression. The kennel is always kept clean and the attention to detail is second to none. We dropped off a puppy and picked up a bird dog.

Anthony had my 5 month old GSP pup pointing birds like a seasoned vet on our first 1 on 1 training session. See photo. Dixie is now 14 months old going through her first season and wowing the upland vets in our group. This is my first hunting dog, and I love the results of Anthony’s program. My experience is unique as I partnered with Anthony and his kennel for 9 months Feb-Oct. 7 months of one on ones every 2 weeks and enrolled my pup in his obedience/upland training. I have been able to see just about every aspect of the kennel, daily processes and personally getting to know Anthony. This man is passionate about the training results and extremely accountable to his client's dogs. He is the type of person that will work 12-18 hours a day 7 days a week in that kennel. If I’m paying good money for a dog training service, I expect the team of trainers to be caring, detail oriented, and truly refuses to be out worked. This is what you pay for and in return will get from Anthony and his team. I started Dixie in Anthony’s one on one program at 5 months old and she entered his full-time training program at 11 months old. The one on ones are a great training offering for people who need training mentor to provide assistance. I was obsessed with online videos but hit the end of the road and Anthony was great in cleaning up all my handling mistakes I was making while providing guidance on what to do next. This is when I realized he is truly a master at his craft. It’s one thing for a trainer to know how to train a dog it’s another for that trainer to expertly know how to train the handler. Disclaimer this option is a learn at the fetching feathers kennel and train at home program. Your motivation to engage your pups training at home will determine your results. After 7 months of one on ones I was 100% confident that Anthony would care for my dog as if it were his own and he did exactly that. They all are spot on with their experiences and I wouldn’t be writing such a positive review if the results weren’t there. I have now had two GSPs that went through the Fetching Feathers program or 1:1 training. My younger female came home in excellent shape, steady to wing and shot, retrieving birds, with great ‘heel’ and ‘place’ skills, perfect recall. She got her price 1 in NAVHDA NA test the next weekend after the end of the program and definitely impressed judges. I couldn’t be happier with her performance! My older male went through a couple months of 1:1 force fetch training. He is a sensitive dog but Anthony found a good approach to him and made it all work. I also used Fetching Feathers for boarding multiple times over the last year and a half. In sum, I highly recommend Fetching Feathers to anyone looking for a top notch gundog trainer. I love that Anthony sends videos and photos of your dog every week, and writes very comprehensive weekly progress cards. Six out of five stars, would recommend to a friend!
