Fetching Feathers is the real deal! I moved out to Colorado right before COVID hit. With a bit more time on my hands I decided to explore a new hobby and get into upland bird hunting. I found a GSP breeder down in TX but needed a way to get the pup from TX to CO. I soon learned that my breeder had worked with Anthony at Fetching Feathers to have several of his dogs trained over the years. Without hesitation, Anthony quickly offered to help transport our pup from TX to CO. This was my first introduction to Anthony and Fetching Feathers. From the moment I went to pick up my new 2 month old pup I knew there was something different about Anthony and his kennel. I knew nothing about upland bird hunting, dog training or where to even begin. Anthony quickly stepped in and without hesitation helped guide and mentor me on all things upland bird hunting and dog training. At just 6 months old I sent my GSP pup to Fetching Feathers for two months of crash course bird training. My dog was young, inexperienced and certainly had no prior training. In a matter of weeks Anthony worked with my pup getting early introduction to birds, obedience training and eventually working to have my pup steady and gun broke. In two short months I picked up a whole new pup ready to take on the uplands! In addition to training my pup, Anthony is just a genuinely good dude! He has invited me out to the kennel on multiple occasions for tune up field work with the pups and has been a great way to get connected to other upland bird hunters in the CO area. For anyone wondering where to send their pup for training, look no further. Fetching Feathers will be the best decision you and your pup ever make!

Anthony Ferro is the hands down the best dog trainer you will ever work with. Immediately out of the gate he doesn't tell you what commands to use with your dog and say that there is only one way to train a hunting dog. He sees where your dog needs help and works to improve those areas. Anthony is the hardest working man in the business right now, and it shows in the dogs he trains. If you aren't taking your dog to Fetching Feathers, you need to start now. You'll be blown away the progress they can make in only a few sessions. I know I was.

Having moved to Colorado from the midwest in 2018, I was looking to become more active in the local gun dog community. My young Vizsla pup, Scout, needed training but COVID had thrown a wrench in my plans/timeline for her. Fortunately, Anthony was recommended to me by those at a local sporting club. Anthony took Scout in on short notice last year and I immediately saw improvements in her behavior from both an obedience standpoint as well as her field work. When dropping her off again this spring, she couldn't have been more excited. Anthony's passion for the dogs under his care is what sets him apart. He is meticulous in all aspects of the process from the quality of the dogs living conditions, to their obedience/kennel training , to their bird work. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in great hands. One of my favorite added benefits is the transparency that Anthony provides via videos every few days and weekly "report cards".
