I reached out to Anthony a little over a year ago to introduce my rescue GSP and I to birds. Anthony was so easy to work with and got us on a great path of weekly bird sessions and things to work on at home i n between. Daisy has turned into a bird hunting machine and we would not have progresses like we did without Anthony's assistance. He is a kind, patient man and put up with my zillion questions being new to bird dogs and hunting myself.

Anthony was recommended to me by word of mouth through a family friend. Although I have not boarded my pup yet, I plan to do so in the future. He has been excellent in helping a young first time gun dog owner via our 1v1 sessions. Anthony spends most of his time with pointers but is also top notch with retrievers. My 10 month lab is progressing along great. Anthony will greet not only you but your pup with a smile on his face every time you see him, his passion for dog training is very apparent. His willingness to train each dog based on their skills, qualities and traits is what makes him stand out. He is not the “old school” my way or the highway dog trainer. As a result I believe he takes pride in learning, adapting, and growing as a trainer daily.

Fetching Feathers is the only place I will take my dog or future dogs from now on. We've used the bigger kennels and looked into their gun dog training but Fetching Feathers is unmatched. Anthony is a great dog trainer and a great person we trust with our dog for both training and boarding when we are away. We're always comfortable knowing he is taking care of our dog and not just producing numbers. Anthony's expertise, care for his clients and the dogs, and the results we've seen are the reason we will never have to look for another trainer. Our dog underwent the 3 month training which was absolutely worth it. We were amazed to see our dog work in the field but still keep his goofy personality at home.

Fetching Feathers and Anthony is our go to for gun dog training and boarding. He took our butterfly chasing, stubborn pup through a 3 month training program, but didn’t train the personality out of her. Which we love! She still chases the butterflies, but will listen and is the best damn bird dog now! We also drive an hour each way to drop her off when we are going to be out of town because we know she will get lots of exercise and training. Way better than a standard boarding place. Anthony came highly recommended by a fellow member from the gun dog association I belong to. I was not disappointed! He has a natural talent working with dogs (And handlers). Not only did he do an awesome tune-up on obedience with my English Setter, but also had her retrieving birds for me in order for her to participate better in field trials and for hunting. The kennels at Fetching Feathers are kept extremely clean, and the dogs there are well cared for at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone looking for a reliable dog trainer or a place to kennel their dog(s) while on vacation.
