We had an excellent experience with Fetching Feathers. We sent our 6 month old GSP to Anthony for obedience only. The constant communication, weekly videos, progress reports and bi-weekly visits took the stress away from the process. On the visits, Anthony spent time training us and showing our pup's progress and areas that needed work. The progress between visits was impressive and at the end, we received a dog that I'm confident in on leash and off. Anthony includes the entire family in the visits. He taught my 10 yr old daughter the commands and how to be confident in using them. GSPs are high energy, and it's clear that Anthony and his assistant work the dogs and also give them time to run and generally, just be dogs each day. Our pup came back in incredible shape, mentally and physically.

I cannot say enough about Fetching Feathers. Anthony exudes passion when it comes to training dogs. We first heard about Anthony and Fetching Feathers on a podcast we listened to on upland rookie. We were drawn to his enthusiasm and work ethic when it came to dog training. We knew he would treat our pup like his own so we made up our mind she will be trained there. We live in San Diego and the kennel is in Colorado. It was a no brainer we would make our way to Colorado via road trip. She spent 3 months at the kennel and wow what a transformation! Not only is she a well behaved family dog she now has the foundation for being a beast in the field. Anthony and Jared worked day in and day out with Millie and sent many videos every week showing her progress and explaining everything they were doing it was very encouraging. When we picked her up we took our kids and the trailer and explored new places and states on our way out to Colorado. It was so fun having the kids with us they missed Millie just as much as we did. She is doing so well at home and on hikes. I can’t recommend Fetching Feathers enough!! Money well spent! We left home with a wild pup and came home with a hunting well mannered dog that i couldn't be more proud of. If you are out of state dont think twice just make it part of the adventure! We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Fetching Feathers. We choose this bird trainer not only for its reputation but after our first conversation with Anthony we quickly learned how passionate he is about dogs and has as much passion for hunting! Not only is the dog training top notch but the sincere care of our dog was phenomenal! We are local and had the opportunity to visit every other week and to see how exceptional the care and cleanliness of the kennel was beyond impressive. At our visits we were shown the progress and Anthony took so much time to show us her training and progress! It’s very helpful to see how the training works so we can continue when Kimber would come back home. Anthony and Jared have a true passion for dog training and for that we now have an amazingly trained pup! Our pup left with minimal obedience training and came back well mannered and very obedient. The day after she came back from three months of training, we had over 40 people at our home for a wedding and every person commented on how well behaved our 9 month old puppy was! It was difficult to leave our new puppy, but we are so happy we entrusted Anthony with our dog…. Best decision ever! Not one regret! Thank you Anthony!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Fetching Feathers. As an out of state client, I was apprehensive about the entire process. From start to finish, Anthony was incredible to work with. He helped arrange for transportation to and from Fetching Feathers which provided tremendous peace of mind for me and my family. He provided detailed progress reports throughout the training and sent multiple videos every week that made it feel like we were there and part of the training. He was honest and did not sugar coat things during training and because of that I developed a great deal of trust in him as I knew he wanted what was best for me and for my dog. Our pup is a family dog first and a hunter second and because of the work Anthony and his staff have done with our dog we now have the best of both worlds! Anthony was a great communicator throughout the process and I would highly recommend Fetching Feathers to anyone!

As a hiker and backpacker, I searched for somewhere my 4 year old lab mix could go for some obedience and e-collar training to make our trips in the wild safer. I am so thankful for Anthony and Fetching Feathers. My dog did a 4 week board and train and I was amazed by the facilities and staff. I received weekly updates and a few surprise photos and videos of how he was progressing with training and acclimating to the kennels—something he has never experienced. During his two week and pick up training sessions, you could see how much work Anthony and his staff put into my dog and how much my dog loved and respected them. My dog will now come running back to me on the first recall, place without having to be asked twice, and heels on and off leash with little to no correction (will even heel off leash while riding my bike!). He also was exercised so well while at the kennel that he came back looking trim and with some more muscle on him. I cannot thank Anthony and his kennel hand enough for the love and training they provided for my dog. I’ve recommend Fetching Feathers to all my friends and everyone I meet!
