Can a Malamute or Siberian husky be trained as a service or therapy dog?
Great question Beverly. It's not unheard of to see the breed in service of therapy dog work. As with any breed, it depends on temperament and aptitude for the work we are requiring of the dog.

How much is the service dog/therapy dog training class?
Hello Tansi, There are actually three different programs of this nature in our class line up. The Service Dog Skills and Professional Therapy Dog Skills classes are $100 for four weeks of training. The therapy dog training/certification is a two day course for $50. You can find all information regarding enrollment on our website www.welltrainedfamilydog.com, click on Training Classes and scroll down to the classes that interest you. I can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a puppy and I needed a LOT of help. Everyone I have met has been very professional and great resources for training. The puppy day school is amazing. My little Eleanor is so excited to go daily. Classes here are great too!
