We invited Rick to come in and help us with our 5 dogs that like to go crazy whenever the doorbell rings, or a certain neighbor's dog walks by, or if a squirrel dares to eat acorns in the front yard!! Rick spent several hours with us and the dogs, teaching them (and us) how to redirect their attention elsewhere to control the behavior whenever the external stimulus created their undesirable responses. We now have several simple basic "tools" to use and the knowledge to help us going forward working successfully with our pack! Thanks Rick!! :-)

I started working with Rick in 2010 with my first rescue, Lexi. She was a project to say the least. Lexi was very timid in new environments, wouldn't walk on wood floors, very scared of males, showed signs of abuse, etc. After meeting with Rick for a consult, he immediately prescribed a training regiment supplemented with an e-collar. Going through doggy "boot-camp" was hard, but the dividends were immediate. Within 3 weeks, Lexi was more confident and looked at my wife and I for direction, not just love. I also stuck with the e-collar, and Lexi was off leash (reliably) after two months. After rescuing my German Shepherd in 2011, I went through the same process of boot-camp and the e-collar. Different dog, same result. Amazing how that works! =) People are always amazed at how well trained/behaved my dogs are. I'm a firm believer that if you commit to the process, your quality of life as a dog owner will be exponentially better. To this day, I keep in touch with Rick and lean on him for training advice and general dog information. Best decision I made for my dogs. Period.

I came to Rick with my 11 week old puppy to do the “New Puppy, Now What?” training course. She was having some issues biting and not listening due to her stubbornness! From the moment I walked in I could tell how much he truly cares for puppies and adult dogs and has this incredible calm way with them. After about 10 minutes my little puppy opened up to him and was listening and doing everything he said. My anxiety and stress was at an all time high before going to Rick. Now with the skills and tools he taught me and my little puppy I feel a relief and can see her following the rules we worked on. She is also calmer because he helped me with skills that I needed to work on! I HIGHLY recommend Rick to anyone interested in training their puppy/dog. There's nothing better than a well trained dog! My little puppy and I will for sure be back for more training when she’s a little older and I am really looking forward to it! Thank you Rick!!!!
