Eric Letendre's Dog Training School

I can't say enough good things about Eric Letendre's Dog Training programs. Eric is a very knowledge, compassionate, patient and understanding human and dog trainer. That makes a huge difference. When my wife and I got another dog for the family, we chose a Portuguese Water Dog. At the beginning stages, we had our challenges. Our dog was very reactive to other dogs, would not stay crated longer than 10 minutes without tearing apart toys or breaking the crate door, push around my two other older dogs, etc. Working with Eric is by far the best decision that I have ever made as a pet owner. He was always willing to listen, support my wife and I as we were very frustrated at many times. Eric provided comfort, an incredible intellect for dog psychology, and would always answer any questions or concerns we had. As "alumni" we were able to take advantage of his free consultation services, follow-up sessions to help with the challenges we faced. Any problem or challenge, he always helped and guided us to extinguish the unacceptable behaviors and increase the positive behaviors. His philosophy is different than your typical trainers out there, and that's what separates Eric from the rest. Although I would never call Eric old, he has over 30 years of experience in many different places and settings and he brings all of that skillset to Westport, Ma. As an aside, we also successfully completed his CGC Prep Class, and Rui the trainer over prepared us, and ensured we were ready for the CGC examination. Highly recommend that class!!! Rui is the man. Now, a little over a year later, our dog has received his Therapy Dog Certification through an AKC approved organization - he passed his comprehensive evaluation flawlessly. The evaluator was so impressed during the evaluation and asked where I trained with the dog. We owe all of that to Eric. Eric is willing to work alongside you the whole way, you just need to put the work in and I promise you will see the results!! Don't spend the time looking at any other trainers in the South Coast - go right to Eric Letendre!!! He goes way above and beyond for all his dogs and handlers.
