My experience with E.F.C.C. was a life changing event. Here is a little background to this success story. I adopted Penny from a local no kill shelter. She is 6 years old and 4 of those years the shelter was her home. She was adopted out 2 or 3 times unsuccessfully. Penny is sweet and loving. Super smart. House broken. She has never chewed anything up. She is also super insecure. Super dominate, REACTIVE ! , with a fearsome prey drive. Tara from EFCC came for a home visit laid out the course of treatment and we got to it! I had so many realizations about dogs and being a responsible dog owner. Tara gave me the confidence I needed and the tools to lead Penny and I into a bright future. Thank you Tara for the pep talks for your professionalism and for your love of dogs.

Tara has worked with all three of my female working-line German Shepherds —two of which are littermates and one a rescue, all about the same age. Anyone who knows dogs understands how challenging this situation can be, but with Tara’s guidance, we’ve accomplished what others told me would be impossible. Working with Tara has been life-changing for my girls and me. Her kindness, professionalism, and expertise are unmatched, and her ability to connect with both dogs and handlers is incredible. From the very first phone call, she eased all my stress and worries and even scheduled us for a session the very next day. I’ll never forget how gracious and supportive she was. One of the things I appreciate most about Tara is how she tailors her training to fit each dog’s and handler’s unique needs. She takes the time to understand each situation, which is something I hadn’t experienced with other trainers before. That personal touch made all the difference for us. Another thing that stood out to me was how versatile her training is. Whether it’s in-home sessions or working out in public spaces, Tara helped prepare my dogs for real-world situations. Since my dogs are with me almost 24/7, it was important that they could stay calm, neutral, and well-mannered no matter where we go. I can’t say enough good things about EFCC and Tara and all the work she’s done with us. I feel so much gratitude and appreciation for everything she’s helped us achieve. Elite Florida Canine College is AMAZING. We rescued a blind and partially deaf five month old puppy and a few weeks I began to question my decision as the challenges were way more than I bargained for. I met with a couple other trainers and all they wanted to sell me was a board and train program. In my opinion all they were thinking about was making money, not what was best for our dog. Board and train is a great option just not our blind dog. Then someone recommended Tara and our whole world changed. She focused on what was right for us and for Grace. Tara helped us tackle our challenges head on. She is amazing and helped us make major changes in a short period of time. Grace is now a complete treasure to us thanks to Tara and Elite Florida Canine College. Tara is compassionate and her passion and knowledge shine through at every visit.
