Elevate Dog Center

Jasper, my yellow Labrador retriever, loves having an unlimited swim membership at the Elevate Dog Center. Three times a week, he swims in an outdoor pool with a human buddy to get summer exercise. He has learned to retrieve toys to the instructor in the EDC pool. Recently, he showed that he is a "two toy retrieval dog", bringing not one, but two toys to the ramp! I know he loves the Elevate employees because his ears go up and body wiggles on the days that he goes there. I would highly recommend looking into the choices of programs at EDC and see which one best fits your dog's current needs!

I don't even know where to begin. My dog, Ziji, was a very reactive cattle dog. He had been through basic puppy class training (interrupted by the pandemic) and then sleep-away camp. I really needed a trainer who could help train me to work with Ziji. And, that is exactly what I received in working with Tamison. Immediately upon meeting us, she provided me with insights into Ziji in terms of his breed that I had not fully comprehended. She helped me set reasonable expectations for Ziji's training and behavior, and then worked with us in private lessons to meet those expectations. She also provided homework and training resources in a handy binder for me to use outside of our lessons. I can't express how grateful I am. Elevate has changed the relationship I have with my pup. We adopted a lab that came to us with severe anxiety due to his experiences in his first year of life. Tamison and Elevate were recommended by our vet who is treating our dog’s anxiety. We started out with a few private lessons so that our dog could get comfortable at Elevate, knowing we were by his side. He loved “the cheese lady” and learning new things with her immediately. He’s finishing up his 4th week of day school and has made such incredible progress and we can really see his confidence building. Before Elevate, he was afraid of new people, new situations, etc. Now he’s made new friends (human and canine!), he can settle in the car, and he’s less stressed out when separated from us. Seeing how happy he is to go to school in the morning always starts my day off on a positive note. When we arrive, he might see other dogs or strange people, but he won’t get flustered or bark, and I know that’s because he feels safe at Elevate and that means so much to me. He goes up to the door and happily sits and waits politely to go inside and see his friends. We are so thankful to see him thriving instead of suffering due to fear and we appreciate Tamison and her team giving us the tools to improve his experiences.
