FirstBarkDowntown dog in the country with Jessica Cargill is our go to dog place. We originally met her met her 10 years ago when our fur a baby was a pup. Our dog Willie Nelson loves going to Downtown Dog in the Country and making new friends. It’s very obvious Jessica loves animals and takes good care of the pets that go there.

My vet referred me to Downtown Dog several years ago when I was looking for a trainer for my very high drive border collie mix. Jessica did a great job with her, so when I adopted another dog this year, I didn’t hesitate to send him for training as well. The board and train program is an awesome way to give the dogs a good training base to build on through the rest of their lives. I’ve tried many local boarding places in the past, but Downtown Dog is the only place I feel 100% comfortable leaving my dogs. I love that it’s a small facility on Jessica’s little country homestead. It’s clean and well-kept, and she is around 24/7. She knows my dogs and their quirks, and the same goes for all the other dogs in her care. I know my dogs won’t be overlooked during their stay, and that any problem that arises will be noticed and taken care of. So glad to have found Downtown Dog!
Jess is the best and takes such great care of my pup!! I love all of the supervised socialization he gets when he stays with her.
