DogSpeak

Draco is our 20 month old half pitbull half Belgian Malinois. Raised and partially trained in DC. He was re-homed to us. He was loving but super energetic, always jumping up and very mouthy. (Wanting to put his mouth on everyone). Always demanding attention when we were working from home. He had selective listening. Beth asked us: “Is there anything he will do 100% of the time?” Nope. That’s when we knew we needed DogSpeak. In 4 weeks of Board and train he is a different dog. He no longer jumps up. No more biting. He can walk off leash and follows all commands (No, heel, come, sit, place etc). But even more amazing is that he now entertains himself. Finds his ball, plays with his bone, takes his naps when he wants them. Unbelievable. He even achieved his AKC Canine Good Citizen ribbon before we took him home! If you have a high drive dog, don’t bother with traditional training. It won’t work and everyone will be frustrated. We couldn’t recommend Beth, Barry, Jamie and Haley any more than we have ! Elizabeth is an excellent trainer. My dog Eva recently finished board and train. She was there for 6 weeks and has learned so much (as have I)! Elizabeth is very communicative and clearly spends a LOT of time training your dog. Eva went from barking and lunging at other dogs to being able to walk at heel calmly on the leash. Elizabeth also helped us establish a healthy outlet for Eva’s energy with structured games. I was able to accomplish my long term goal of walking through the farmers market without Eva barking/lunging last weekend! I’m so glad to have found DogSpeak.

We met Elizabeth by chance one day at Bass Pro and she has been instrumental in our dog training journey ever since! We have a Beauceron who loves a bit of back talk and between a few coaching sessions and a four week board and train, he's now everything we could want him to be. Elizabeth and her staff have been awesome helping train our dog and helping me become a better trainer. We couldn't recommend DogSpeak enough. Our dog loves going to DogSpeak whether it is for boarding, daycare, or a training session. If it tells you anything, we live in Jacksonville now and still bring our dog to DogSpeak for longer boarding stays, rather than finding somewhere else. Highly, highly recommend!
