DogSpeak

We came to Beth and the Dogspeak team feeling overwhelmed - our 18-month-old Lab, Milli, was completely out of control and we knew we needed help. We initially found Dogspeak online, but quickly realized we actually knew several people who had already recommended them, which gave us a lot of confidence. We decided to start by boarding Milli to see how she and we - liked it, and they exceeded every expectation we had. The facility is incredible: the cottages offer indoor/outdoor access, there’s a massive swimming pool for the dogs, and over 10 acres for them to roam and play. But what truly sets Dogspeak apart is the love and care the staff gives every dog. They genuinely love your pup, and it shows in everything they do. After that, Milli went through the hybrid training program, spending time on the property AND taking her around to Public places to train her on how to act in public - Lowes, outdoor restaurants, walking through Bannerman crossing, parks. This has helped us and her to really be able to help her in every situation she may be in. Then two weeks with Beth coming into our home to continue working with her in her own environment and even teaching her to trot/run alongside me when riding my bike! This has really allowed to help release all that lab energy she has. The results have been life-changing for our entire family. Not only is Milli happier and more well-behaved, but we feel equipped to be able to continue what she has learned so we can keep up with her manners. We can’t thank Beth enough, not just for what she’s done for Milli, but for how she’s trained us as her humans. It’s made all the difference.

We’re writing to thank Elizabeth, Jamie, Katherine and the crew at Dogspeak for their guidance and training of our Aussie pup, Ollie. Initially, we had hoped to have Ollie in puppy classes in the fall but my unexpected medical issues kept that from happening. After a consultation, Elizabeth strongly recommended a minimum of 2 weeks of boarding/ training. While initially surprised with that idea, it ended up being ideal for Ollie and us. We and he needed a reset and help with breaking some bad habits…pulling on the leash, jumping, over excitement with other dogs, etc. After 2 weeks of training and then follow-up home lessons, we’re so very pleased. There’s a noticeable improvement with Ollie and his manners. Elizabeth is so patient and has worked wonders with our boy. While it’s still a work in progress, as one would expect with a puppy, we feel we and Ollie are better set up for success. Thank you to all at Dogspeak.

We took our dog Bruno to dogspeak after trying a different trainer who wanted to medicate him for life. Our vet recommended dogspeak and it was the BEST DECISION we have ever made!! Bruno was a reactive/aggressive dog to anyone outside of his circle. After his training program he can walk in crowded areas very relaxed and happy! Beth addressed all of our concerns and even went above and beyond! She trained our dog but she also gave him so much confidence and gave us soo many tools for our future! This program transformed our life with our dogs! The team truly loves dogs and our Bruno loved being there!!
