I can’t recommend this team enough! I came in hoping Big Mac would stop acting like the canine version of Mayhem every time we saw another dog. I did not expect to end up with a calm pup who struts beside me—off leash, no less—with so much confidence! Big thanks to Lauren for showering him with love, Rebecca for training him (and, let’s be honest, me), and a special shout-out from Mac to Eric… he said you’d understand. 😉

I have (or rather had) an extremely reactive dog—anything from people to other dogs or even the smallest trigger would set him off. After suffering a back injury, I could no longer manage him, especially outside the house, so my mom and I started searching for a trainer. That’s when we found Dogs by Andy. From the first consultation, we felt confident, and we enrolled Otis in their three-week board and train program. By the time he came home, he was a completely different dog! He no longer pulls me on walks, reacts aggressively, or nips at feet when you’re moving around. Honestly, the change is incredible—he’s so much more well-behaved, calmer, and even able to regulate his own emotions when stressed. Since training, we’ve been able to take Otis everywhere—public places, family gatherings, even the beach for the Fourth of July! He recently met an elk on a hike and stayed calm the entire time! These are things I never thought were possible before. A huge thank you to Taz and Eric, Otis’s main trainers—they were amazing and treated him with so much care. He absolutely adores them (especially Taz!). Otis is my best friend, and now I get to see him truly enjoy life—less anxious, more confident, and just happy. Every dog is different, but this training has opened up so many opportunities for us, and I couldn’t be more grateful!

We boarded our Pitbull, Otis, at Dogs By Andy for 4 weeks of training due to his fear-based aggression. He used to bark and lunge at people and dogs, making hikes, camping, or public outings nearly impossible. At home, though, he was always a sweetheart. Thanks to Eriq, Taz, and the rest of the team, Otis is truly a new dog. Just a week after bringing him home, we took him to Myrtle Beach on the 4th of July and he was incredible. We’ve since gone hiking, visited stores, and enjoyed so many things we never could before. He listens, walks calmly on and off leash, and we finally feel like we have our lives back. Best of all, the anxiety Otis experienced is gone. Its amazing to see him so relaxed. We’re beyond grateful!
