Doglingual is a woman led, Latina, queer & veteran owned dog training and dog trekking company in the Portland metro area. Our goal is to provide balanced lifestyle dog training to the modern pet parent through hands on real world exposure, with a focus on but not limited to outdoor adventures (Hiking, swimming, brewery patio skills, etc.) enjoying public spaces, and enjoying your own home.
We offer customized training plans with Private Lessons or Board & Trains for all ages; including small puppies and senior dogs.
Trekking paws is an all day off leash adventure up on a trail in the mountains (long lines and e collars are welcome)
If you’re going out of town we also offer basic in home (our home) boarding.

We contacted Tamara to help us navigate a rescue traumatized puppy out of Texas which had just traveled 48 hours in a transport van. She was completely shut down. Tamara came to our house the morning we got her, Frankie, and was able to get her out of the kennel, outside and into a bath. She provided us much needed information and training tools to transition Frankie into our home and lives. Frankie has since thrived and is an amazing addition to our family. Tamara was knowledgeable, dependable and fun.

My three yr old pup Rogue is such a sweet girl, but in public, there was a 50/50 chance she would be reactive towards a dog or someone walking by.
We signed her up for a two week BnT to focus on recall and socialization, and it was perfect for us since we were already heading on vacation. Tamara was so good about video updates and would always check in with us. You can absolutely see the amount of love and care she gives every client.
When we got Rogue back, she was a totally different dog in the best way. BnT was the best decision for us and I can confidently bring her out with us in public without feeling anxious. I can’t wait to bring her back to Tamara for boarding for our next trip.
