Dog School of Minnesota

I brought my service dog in training, Smoki, to Dog School starting when he was 8 months old mainly due to typical adolescent dog things such as reactivity and over excitement. He also worked on solidifying cues. Ashley did a lot of work with Smoki, and he adored her. Sierra gave us lots of extremely helpful advice to implement at home. Both Ashely and Sierra were accommodating to learning cues in a different language which my dog knew, and the fact that I preferred he be worked on a martingale or flat collar. The videos were always the highlight of my day - I loved to see how he was using his brain at school! Smoki has come such a long way in a few months. His "stay", "heel" and "place" really impressed me, and his reactivity is really improving! I am very thankful for the Dog School's help in his training!

I can not say enough great things about this training program! My dog is only on week 4 of his session but has already shown a lot of improvement in the things they have been working on with him when he’s at home! My lab puppy has been an absolute monster (which I mean in the most loving way haha). He hit adolescence and has developed a fear of certain strangers and very random times but also needs lots of help with his basic manners and obedience since he is a large boy at 92lbs and can easily overpower me. I was playing with the idea of sending him to a board and train but I have a very hard time trusting others with the care of my dogs. I absolutely love that I can send him here and know he is learning things he needs to but can pick him up at the end of the day and know he’s doing well and being cared for! I also love that they upload clips of training sessions with your dog throughout the day on their private Facebook group. I can stay up to date on what he’s working on and continue practicing it at home! I have trained my own dogs primarily but due to my disability and a recent surgery, needed help with this unruly puppy. I am SO thankful for the trainers here and I have full confidence that my dog is in good hands during the day while he’s with them! His excitement to go to jump in the car and go to school each day and the way he runs to me if I start playing his trainers videos on my phone because he hears their voices tells me he loves his school a lot too!

Everyone just loves my Fiona. Everyone we meet comments on what a good girl she is. My coworkers especially love when she comes to visit for the day. I give the credit to the wonderful trainers at Dog School. Fiona first went to Dog School when she was 5 months old to get a good foundation on the basics. A year later Fiona took a second semester at Dog School to reinforce the basics and learn a few new things. Fiona is an amazing dog, and I want to give a big thanks to the wonderful trainers at Dog School. The are patient, kind and listen to each dog owners’ personal needs. I loved that I could drop her off and know she would be safe, loved and mentally stimulated during her day there. Thank you Dog School!!!
