Dog's Play

Julie and her team at Dog’s play have always been fantastic ! I have been using several services over the years, whether it has been with my own three dogs or any rescues I bring to them. My dogs absolutely love it there and what Julie can do to rehab a dog is quite astonishing. I basically brought her Cujo and she turned him into an instagram model. Highly recommend. Great people who do great work. I am forever grateful.

We love Julie and the staff at Dog's Play! I have been training with Julie since 2021 and have used Dog's Play for everything from high-level agility coaching to boarding over the holidays to training foster dogs with severe behavioral problems. Julie is a wealth of knowledge with decades of diverse experience. Her approach is always positive and promotes a strong bond between dog and owner. Her assistant trainer Keith is also excellent with the dogs and has been an asset to the program. Dog's Play is the best in the area for puppy classes, CGC trick training, reactive dog training, behavioral issues, boarding, competitive rally, agility, and more. Julie has a huge heart, truly cares about dogs and people, and constantly gives back to the community by providing training services to local rescues and donating kennel space and resources to foster at-risk dogs. The first two photos are taken at Dog's Play and the second two are my dog at CPE Agility Nationals in Springfield, Illinois where he qualified in 8 of 9 runs and won reserve high in standard for all dogs over 6 years old competing at the 20" jump height. Our success at a national level competition can be directly attributed to Julie's coaching.

I have been taking my dog, Bruno, to Dog’s Play for a little over a year now. They first met him while he was in the shelter and Julie worked with him there. When we adopted him, the shelter staff recommended that we take him to training at Dog’s Play. Bruno has a lot of anxiety and reactivity towards other dogs because of how much time he spent in the shelter. Julie and her staff at Dog’s Play have helped him gain confidence, become more comfortable in unfamiliar situations, and even gotten him to the point where he now has other doggie friends, something I never thought would be able to happen! Without them, Bruno would not be the good boy he is today. We are so grateful for all that they do!

We have had our pups stay with Julie at Dog's play every time we go out of town. They are always super excited to go and they are pleasantly exhausted when they return home. Julie did some intensive training behavior training over the course of a month with one of our pups which made a tremendous difference in her behavior with people and other dogs. Julie and her team are amazing-I recommend them without hesitation!

Julie has trained and boarded almost all our dogs. She has impressed me with her immense patience with both the dogs and myself. She has a deep love for helping dogs be their best. She has explained fear stages, treat tricks and so much more. She is also very kind. She sees the best in each and every dog she encounters. Since knowing her I have encountered several trainers. While each may offer something, she is now and always will be my resource person with my own fur babies.
