Dog's Best Friend

We have worked with many other trainers and spent thousands of dollars in training for our aggressive dogs. However nothing worked until now. I called chas the day after our dogs had a fight. They have always been dog aggressive but now they were showing aggression to eachother. Chas listened to my concerns. He told me what he could do and had me bring the dogs in to him that same day to talk and go over how he could help. I'm very glad we went that day and signed up for 7 weeks of classes. We are on week 5 and the dogs are laying down while another dog is playing ball next to them. Chas is very straight forward and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. We contacted Dog's Best Friend after Hawley, our 185 pound Old English Mastiff, started showing signs of aggression. I will admit that initially I thought that I could handle the problem. I read a few books and did some research on the internet. I could not have been more wrong. The problem continued to get worse. Samantha instantly knew where the problem was, what to do, but most importantly she took the time to explain to us what we would need to do. It has been six months and I can proudly say that we have had no growling or incidents in the past four months. My advise to anyone out there, don't think you can do this on your own because you read an article or a blog. Go to Samantha. She will get things back on track.

The private training was very successful and informative. I learned a lot and we accomplished more in just a few weeks than I accomplished since I have owned my dog. Group training was very different than I expected and very different from what I have gone through with other trainers. I liked it but I was very confused on the first couple of lessons since I was used to classes where everybody is told to do the exact same thing. This was a bit more open ended with focus on individuality of practicing and asking questions. Samantha is wonderful at her job and I would recommend both her private and her group training to anybody who wants a well trained dog.
