FirstBarkPaul was terrific. He was very punctual and taught us lots of things. He was patient and easy to understand. He took control and was very hands on - showing and modeling for us what to do. He really gave us the tools tohelp Jake be a better dog and now we just have to be consistent.

Dogs Best Friend Services Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Maitland, Winter Park, Lake Mary, Sanford, Orlando and surrounding areas. For over 30 years, I have worked with all different breeds to rehabilitate behavior and obedience issues. Also, and even more importantly, trained the humans to communicate their message in a language the dog understands. A happy dog is one who learns rules, boundries, structure, limitations, discipline, and has a strong, consistent and loving human pack leader.

Should I be the Alpha dog by using brute force?
Absolutely not! The most powerful pack leaders are the ones that say and do the least. The way to gain control over your dog is to use calm relaxed quiet energy. Less is more. Besides, people who think they should “alpha role” their dog usually wind up getting bitten or scratched, or worse hurt their dog physically. There are much better ways to be your dog’s “Alpha” leader. Respect is what is lacking here. You can gain your dog’s respect by using calm, relaxed energy instead of brute force.

Why is my dog showing aggression toward people or other dogs?
Most times it's because they were not socilized when they were young. Also, they were never shown how they are supposed to act by the humans in their life. your dog may be nervous, axious, fearfull, uncertain, insecure. All these will trigger aggresion. For example, barking, growling, lunging at guests when they come in the house. Your dog isn't sure what they're supposed to do when the doorbell rings and you open the door. That uncertainty could be the cause. The dog doesn't know what to do so they go back to a primal state which is to bark growl etc. I teach people how to communicate with their dog so they know how to greet with a calm state of mind. Showed up right on time. Although we probably didn’t have the worst dog ever seen, we did start seeing the results we wanted almost immediately. Very good understanding of the dog and knew how to work with her very well right out of the gate. We now have good direction to follow when practicing the techniques that were gone over in the meeting.

Thank you Paul for all your help! I have a 3 month old Dalmatian who is very smart and eager to learn, however I was having trouble training her correctly. Paul worked with Indie and got her walking on a leash and calm in her crate within our 2 hour session. He taught me techniques to correct behaviors and effective ways to reward Indie. Im still working with her to enforce what we learned but man has our session with Paul made a difference! Walking on a leash isn’t a struggle anymore, it’s fun! Thank you again Paul! I will be recommending you to anyone looking to better train their doggos!!

Paul was fantastic with my German Shepherd Harley. She has a lot of anxiety and I was having a lot of issues as the role as a pack leader. He went over everything with myself and my boyfriend and let us try out the steps and instructions he was giving us. She immediately became calmer. I spent 1400 dollars at a facility and was getting frustrated with how much I spent and little change I saw. Paul’s pricing was fair and way cheaper than what I spent elsewhere.
