Dog Pause

We started working with Dan shortly after adopting our first dog. He was awesome - taught us how to communicate with our dog and use positive reinforcement/clicker training to build a great relationship from the ground up. Everything from how to walk on the leash to car rides and excessive barking in the yard, he has really helped us build a great foundation. Our pup also might like Dan more than she likes us - always SO excited for him to come over and "play"! Thanks Dan :)

Dan is a phenomenal dog trainer. He worked extensively with our two dogs (both rescues) and was able to get them to be more calm and obedient. He has a natural way with dogs and it's clear that the dogs respond to him. (The dogs also adore him and get so happy when they see him). His approach is based on positive reinforcement, and it takes a bit longer than traditional methods. If you invest in the approach and actively participate in the training, you will see the benefits. If you're looking for someone to just "fix" your dogs behavior without you being involved, you might want to consider something different. Effective dog training is as much about teaching the owner how to behave around the dog as the it is teaching the dog how to interact with others.

We are so grateful for your help with our beloved and rascally cattle dog pup, Pico My family was struggling with behavioral issues stemming from a negative experience at the hand of another trainer who employed negative reinforcement techniques (unbeknownst to us at the time). Pico became defensive-aggressive toward other dogs (previously lived to meet and play with all dogs) and social interactions were extremely stressful for all involved. Enter Dan Anderson...
