We went to Justine with our 9 month bernedoodle Gus. He had been walking us instead of letting us walk him, he refused to come to us when called, he jumped on our boys when they were playing, amongst other issues. She is direct and knowledgeable about dog behavior, dog breeds, and how to quickly and effectively teach owners to train their dogs to know who is boss and how to listen. After just one session we had a different dog. After three, we have the tools we need to continue training him. Today we had his first trip to the beach since training. On the walk through town to the beach, he stayed in the heel position and did not stray when other dogs walked by. At the beach he didn’t even try to run away from us when we removed the leash. We are so pleased and would recommend Justine to everyone. Be ready to learn and leave any preconceived ideas at the door. She knows her stuff.

Justine was able to train us (wife and I, the handlers), to train our bratty teenage dogs with amazing results. Justine is highly knowledgeable and shares her knowledge with a no BS attitude. Before working with Justine I was "walking" my dogs using harnesses for me, and them, and they'd basically drag me around town. Now our dogs can even walk off leash AND THEY COME BACK TO US ON COMMAND!!! Every behavior we wanted to work on has improved with Justine's guidance. I will be using what Justine taught me my entire life, with my current dogs and any future ones.
We had a 13 month old goldendoodle who jumped on kids, visitors, strangers, and against the fence at other dogs. Also had issues with barking and leashes. Justine totally turned it around for us! We are so happy now that our dog is calm around strangers, family members, and other animals. We feel confident now to use the techniques she gave us. Amazing work! Text her asap!

We found the Dog Lady of Forest Grove because we needed more skills beyond puppy basics, and had specific behavior goals for our 2-year-old Labrador/Border Collie mix. Justine really knows her stuff when it comes to dog obedience. Her style is very straightforward, and she lends her philosophy and experience with a high focus and energy. She helped us to learn how to "speak dog", change the channel from play to work, build a strong foundation for good dog behavior, be a more cohesive team of humans and dog, and effectively lead our dog. We are grateful for what we learned and the progress we've made.
