Dog Gone Fun! Training & Behavior

My wife and I adopted a mixed breed dog (half pit bull/half lab) about a year ago. The dog was a year old and in bad need of training.Since we got her at a shelter, we didn't know her history. We came across Ariel there and something clicked. So we brought her home with us that day. Since we were new to Ashland, we asked several friends to recommend a dog training service. All three said "Colleen Shanahan is the best" and we called her and enrolled Ariel in an Obedience Training program at Colleen's dog training business, called "Dog Gone Fun." Four weeks of group sessions and Ariel was on her way to being a well-trained puppy. But she still needed some work as she's very high-spirited and we think she had a bad history before she was taken to the pound, so Colleen did some private lessons with Ariel and us. After a couple of these private training sessions, Ariel emerged as the perfect dog! All of our friends and relatives love her. She great around children, and we couldn't be happier! Collen is a true expert at training your pet dog, making it possible to save a dog through adoption, which makes my wife and I feel even better. I highly recommend Colleen Shanahan and Dog Gone Fun.
