Dog Basics PDX

Very thankful for Timothy and his knowledge on dogs (and humans)! It was very easy to learn from him what to do to help our anxious and reactive pup. Within the hour training session we were able to make so much progress and ease our dogs anxiety (and our own!) Timothy also helped with our dogs impulsivity control and now I can have him in the room with me and he won’t try to eat all my cats food. Best money we’ve spent on our pup!!! I had a session today with Timothy to help my Doberman, (who we recently rescued), work through his aggression towards our cat. What a fabulous trainer and mentor! He worked with us (to train me and mentor/rehabilitate my dog) at our home and though he was here for only an hour, Kenji made leaps and bounds towards a brighter future of being friends with our cat. Timothy’s demeanor and knowledge surpassed my expectations. His price point is beyond fair and I really appreciate that he didn’t push to have session after session. He is truly there to help the dog and human, not to just get paid. I would and will HIGHLY recommend him to anyone that needs any help with their dog/s. Thank you, Timothy, I know we will see you again!!

I adopted Gus, pointer/poodle mix from a shelter after my 17 year old Golden Retriever passed. What I enjoyed most was taking long walks with my dog unfortunately this becme impossible with Gus upon seeing other dogs or people he would go into attack mode; impossible to control. I made an appointment with Tim who came to my home and after explaining what Gus was experiencing and how with the help of a gentle lead halter and redirecting Gus we would be able to go for walks. I was apprehensive at first but with Tim's guidance we experienced a miracle; we walked for more than 40 minutes encoutering several people and 4 dogs, one of the dogs barking and lunging at us but by turning and redirecting Gus from the fearful encounter utilizing the gentle lead halter it was an amazing event no problem. Tim provided Gus and I the necessary knowledge and skill to understand Gus's fears and the ability to redirect with the gentle lead and enjoy walking again. Thank you Tim!

I was fostering Gus and wanted to adopt him but wasn’t sure I could because of his reactivity. I didn’t think I was doing him any favors. After meeting with Timothy, listening to him, and following his directions I not only look forward to, but also enjoy, walking with Gus. We still have a way to go, but if I feel we ever need more support and direction I won’t hesitate to get back in touch with Timothy.
