Ricky was such an amazing help with my one-year husky lab mix. I called him completely desperate because Nala was running away all the time and Recall was a foreign word for her. He not only helped me connect with Nala and build our relationship, he also taught me how to read Nala's needs and gave me a lot of daily tips. Nala and I have connected in the last few months and she prefers to stay with me now instead of running away ;) P.S. Ricky's wife bakes the best high-quality treats!

We have had the best experience working with Ricky, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a trainer! We were a bit nervous after speaking to other dog trainers, but as soon as we got in touch with Ricky, we felt an immense weight lifted off our shoulders. His love for dogs is immeasurable, and has been really patient with us and our dog throughout the entire process. He explains everything in a way that’s easily understandable, and focuses on building a stronger bond with your dog, which has made us much much happier than we were just a few months ago. Our dog was about 2 1/2 years old already, and we thought it would be very difficult to train after the puppy phase, but we have seen serious improvements in just a short time. It used to be impossible to bring our dog on a walk or to a public park, but with Ricky’s guidance, we are able to do those things now and our lives have improved so much because of it.

I love Ricky’s Online Puppy Program! I knew before I got my puppy, Sadie, that I wanted Ricky to work with me and teach me how to communicate with my pup. I live too far away to meet and train with Ricky on a regular basis, so I was glad I had a distance learning option! I connect to the DCS training app from phone’s browser - nothing to download or install. Navigation on my phone’s browser has been easy and the program is laid out so that you can easily see the training options and choose the one you’d like to see. Everything to get started with a new puppy - from introducing you pup to your home, potty training, helpful gear, how to teach tricks, and more! - is on the app. I used the app to learn how to train my new pup from the day I brought her home. I have a large back yard but no fence, but I do not have to put her on leash when I take her to potty or play. She doesn’t run away! She doesn’t leave our yard! She comes when called… every time. She knows sit; down; stay… and so much more. If in-person training isn’t an option, or difficult to do, the Online Puppy Program is a great option and I recommend it.

Ricky is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and kind. All of his methods promote a gentle, positive based approach. For the last year we have participated in group and online classes as well as private lessons and have gained so much. We have an extremely active, young dog (under 2 years). We're currently back for private frisbee lessons and we're having a blast. These lessons are pivotal in helping our super athlete learn impulse control and how to relax. Ricky's training methods are very effective and a lot of fun! Highly recommend Ricky for his knowledge and ability to individualize instruction to meet the needs of his clients. Couldn't have gotten through the first year with our pup without Ricky's help!

I have so much gratitude and appreciation for Ricky at DCS! I have only had 3 private lessons and I have learned so much! My dog never listened to me, barks at all dogs, and was horrible on a leash (that's just a few things I was having trouble with). Basically I just didn't know what to do! He has taught me the important pillars every dog needs, how to read my dog, communicate with my dog and have a real bond with him! It's all coming together and I am thrilled! He came to my house a few times, and today we went to his place to train. Today was the 1st time Fritz had a successful interaction with another dog thanks to Ricky and his pup. Honestly, this is life changing for us! Can't wait to join in on his group classes and have more positive experiences for me and for Fritz!! I highly recommend him!!
