Dewayne The Dog Guy

Dewayne is THE BEST! We moved to NC from the opposite side of the country only knowing one other person in the area, so I didn't have anyone to get dog trainer recommendations from, leaving me to find someone on my own. Dewayne had great reviews, but what sold me was my initial conversation with him. I could tell he knew what he was doing, so I took the plunge. I'm a first time dog owner, the only dog my family had as a kid was an untrained golden retriever who was absolutely bananas and eventually "ran away." I always wanted a dog as an adult, but was so scared that I didn't have what it would take to have a well mannered and trained dog. This was the very best investment I could have ever made for Mabel (and us too!), after 10 visits with Dewayne, Mabel really is the dog I always dreamed of having. She's still only 6 months old, so she still has a lot of puppy in her, but we are completely off-leash now and she is my little shadow who just wants to make us happy. I don't know who needed the training more, Mabel or myself, but Dewayne knocked it out of the park. We're huge fans of Mr. Dewayne in this household and will forever recommend him to anyone we can! (He didn't even ask me to write this review like so many people do lately!)

I cannot say enough positive things about Dewayne and the results of his training. We did a three week board and train for our dog Archie. When Dewayne picked him up Archie was a wild, untrained mess of a puppy. He was driving us crazy and we could not get him under control. When he brought him back to us, he was still a fun, sweet dog, but was extremely obedient and well-behaved. He responds instantly to commands and is like a completely different dog. We actually love having him in the house now!

A true professional! I am so thankful that I googled and found Dewayne he gave me such great advice with my puppy whom I love dearly but because of her potty issues, I was considering putting her for adoption and it was literally breaking my heart so I’m so happy for the advice that I was given. I’m going to attempt to implement The things that were suggested and then I’m gonna book a follow up appointment to come and re-enforce the work that I’m doing. I've just had my 1st training session with Dewayne the dog guy and I am absolutely amazed, shocked, excited, all the feels. In 1st few min my pup was focused on him and all his techniques which were quickly transferred to me being able to do and practice without him. I'm so glad I went with my gut to work with him. This man knows his stuff! If you are considering a dog trainer...this..is .your..guy!!
