I have a 6yr old gsd who was struggling with reactivity towards other dogs. She wasn’t always this way, but unfortunately had a handful of negative experiences with off leash dogs which made it impossible to take her anywhere in public. (Or so i thought) We’ve been working with Alexis over the past few months and it’s truly been life changing. Alexis is calm, patient, and so incredibly insightful. Prior to Alexis i had done schutzhund with my dog for about 3 yrs. Now, I’m totally green to the dog sport, but I loved it! What was wonderful about working with Alexis is she gave me tools and an understanding in training i wish i had had before i ever got involved in a working dog sport. I felt like i just went straight to running without learning to crawl or walk before working with her, if that makes sense. She has filed in those what may seem like basic gaps in training for me to make me such a better handler. I’m able to read my dog much better and feel so well equipped at how to handle her in situations that used to leave us avoiding things all together. In training you get what you put into it. But when working with a trainer, you really need someone who has passion and patience… and knows what they’re doing!!!!!! It was clear from our first session Alexis had that. I look forward to working with her again in the future. She’s the real deal!

My dog Ace and I have been working with Alexis since the fall. She has such a calm presence and has tons of knowledge. Ace and I have learned so much regarding basic training and building confidence. I was reluctant to take Ace out in public bc he gets so excited to see other dogs and people. Alexis gave us the tools and training tricks to work through excitability and stressful situations. I can’t wait to take Ace to outdoor restaurants this summer!

I sent my new rescue dog Butters to Alexis for a board and train, and I could not be happier with her work and professionalism. Butters had bad separation anxiety and lacked fundamental training. Alexis explained the entire training process thoroughly before his program began and kept me updated regularly throughout his training with pictures, videos, texts, and calls. Alexis provided Butters with the utmost care, love, and attention while he stayed with her, and I would absolutely use her training services again and will be recommending her to family, friends, and everyone else I can.
