You dont know defeat until you've lost a dog then decided to rescue a 4 month old pit mix puppy that was shipped from death row in Texas and she's fear aggressive, reactive, lunging at other dogs, people affraid of the car reserved and doesn't identify with you as her owner. We put her in puppy kindergarten to try and socialize her and give her time to settle. She graduated, knowing all the commands but, with the same emotional issues and reactivity that she had before. Mike put us in touch with Alexis and we began Lily's journey. Alexis immediately recognized all of the issues and began working on all of them with positive reinforcements and opened the lines of communication between us. She taught us how to redirect , deescalate Lily and for the first time we could enjoy our dog. Lily seemed eager to now give us what we wanted and to please us. Alexis is a brilliant trainer with effective methods, and a great, kind energy and Lily simply adores her. Alexis felt that Lily would also love and benefit from tracking. So that began the next phase...we joined Mike and the Delta K-9 team into tracking and its been nothing short of amazing. Lily's favorite past time is tracking, our good bond went to a great bond. Lily my once reserved puppy is playful and happy ( especially on tracking days) she sleeps belly up instead of in a ball behind my husband's knees. She is confident and happy. It's been an absolute blessing. If your dog has a problem, the entire team will help you through it. The entire team cheers for your accomplishments, they help and guide you through the whole process. Mike checks in with you with good or bad imput, questions or if you have a problem will work on it with you one on one. They genuinely care and they have a great time with each other while doing it. They are amazing and as long as they are doing it- Lily and I will be there!

I started training with Mike and his team at Delta K9 months ago to bond with my Malinois, Luna, and develop her breed-specific skills. Initially, Luna was fear-aggressive and skittish. Now, after tracking, article searches, scent discrimination, and group obedience, she’s more confident and far less reactive! Mike’s patient, expert, and humorous approach strengthened Luna’s skills and our bond in a non-intimidating, fun environment. Delta K9’s weekly sessions and diverse training scenarios foster growth for dogs and owners. I’ve can’t say enough about Delta K9!! I’ve been working with them since the fall. I completed their basic obedience and most recently their basic tracking program. My dog Ace and I have grown so much as a team. Ace is a great dog and he improved his manners, and has recently developed into an amazing tracker. My confidence and nervousness has definitely improved with working with Delta K9. They not only help you with your dog needs, but also help build your relationship with your dog. They are very knowledgeable, patient, and make training a such a fun positive experience.

We have been working with deltak9 for about 6 months now, specifically with Alexis. She and her team have been so patient with my dogs Flynn and Briar. My dog Flynn was incredibly fear and anxiety reactive. We could not go on a walk around people or dogs. People were unable to come into my home due to his extreme reactions. Alexis was very patient with him (and me) and over the past few months he has become unrecognizable. We did the homework given to us everyday and could see progress each week.He can walk in a pack of dogs, have people come over and overall both Flynn and I have a better life. I have learned so many important tools and skills to use with my dogs. Not only is my dog more comfortable and confident but so am I!
