Hi - Can an older dog be taught to come when you call them? It's our biggest concern with selecting a rescue.
Hi Robert, Thanks for this great question! There are many factors when working on recall, especially with an older dog, but, short answer, YES! Dogs of all ages can work on learning new skills and honing previously learned ones. The level of progress will depend on the dog and the level of work that is dedicated to training. Rachel and Matt have been terrific. They are responsible, accommodating, and reliable. My dogs seem really happy to see them each day for their walk. When I get home from work I know they have had a good day. I am grateful to have found them!
I contacted Rachel to seek help with my 1.5 year old lab who had been demand barking to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. Rachel came for an initial consultation and provided me with so much helpful information. With the tips/tricks she provided, I’ve already noticed improvement with my pup. It’s going to take time, but Rachel was very patient and kind. Would highly recommend!!

Delightful Dog Training with Rachel and Matt was a wonderfully positive experience for Lyle, a rescue who came to us with a few bugaboos. He is much better for attending classes, and we have plenty of good information to help Lyle be his best dog and our best friend. Thank you Rachel and Matt.
