I have a 15 year old miniature poodle who apparently has me “wrapped around his finger”. He is aggressive towards other animals and tells me what he wants all day. I can never take him to a park and need to cover his eyes on walks to avoid a fight when another dog comes by. With my new miniature poodle puppy, I did not want the same fate. I asked Dan to give me a dog who I could trust to listen to me in any circumstance. After 4 sessions I can confidently say that I have that dog. (We agreed to let my blind, deaf and arthritic dog out of the equation and focused on training the puppy solely). It was a lot of daily hard work on my part to follow Dan’s rules, especially with my spoiled senior dog still in tow, but the rewards are worth it. It was difficult to change my thoughts to dog thoughts, however, once I understood what my puppy needed most from me to feel secure and comfortable, it was easy to be his loving mama which included ‘taking him to school’ and disciplining him (for example, being told the command “off” whenever trying to get food from the table or jumping up to greet people). Now that I am in charge of this “dog world” he is content to just be a dog in it without worry. Bottom line is, if you do the work that is required, you will get positive results. Dan is a great mentor and guide to get you started on a wonderful relationship with an obedient fur baby.

Brought Daniel in as a first step to our new puppy. Once we started his instructions and patience has been very beneficial. We have a Portuguese Water Dog, and if you know these dogs - very smart and very stubborn, so getting this training up front stopped bad behavior. I’ve been very happy with what he’s done for us and would surely recommend him for not just new puppies but all behavioral issues.. thanks!!!

I have never written a review for anything before, but I can honestly say that Dan's training changed my life as well as Rocky's. I don't say "dog training" purposely; in fact, it's more akin to "person training." Dan teaches you how to communicate with your dog, and explains the foundational psychological principles underlying his technique. You have to be willing to put in the work, but if you do, you are guaranteed success. Rocky and I struggled with leash-pulling and recall. I thought I had tried everything and was getting pretty frustrated. After just 4 sessions, Rocky and I are able to go on walks without a leash (something I never thought possible), and he comes when called over 95% of the time. No dog or human is perfect, but if you and your pup are eager to learn, you can be sure to walk away with the knowledge & skills necessary to correct unwanted behavior.
