Both Kendall and Chandler have been a tremendous help with our now 9 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy. It has actually been more than training. It has been learning to understand dogs behavior, expectations, consistency, and the best way to change and redirect behaviors. They always take the time to answer questions and offer solutions. If there way to give more than 5 stars I would. Custom K9 services dogs is the only worthy dog trainers in northern nevada that I have encountered. (I have worked with several) K and C are such amazing kind and educated souls. They love what they are doing and working with them makes you love dog training. They make the training process fun, understandable and easy. They work hard to accomplish so much and what they accomplish is nothing less than outstanding. K is a published author of some amazing dog training books. I know because we have bought, read and used all of the material. We recommend her books and them to everyone. They have a fantastic website to use as well incase you cant make it to the inperson classes. I cant wait to continue my journey with them. Thanks for everything K and C.

I can’t say enough good things about Kendall & Chan! From our first session, they made both me and my 6yo rescue doggie Cookie feel completely at ease. Cookie struggles around other dogs. Kendall and Chan have been endlessly patient with my pup, meeting her exactly where she is without any judgement. and honestly, they extended that same kindness and support to me as an owner, which i didn’t expect but really needed. we’ve done both 1:1 sessions and group classes. and both experiences have been fantastic. the individual attention helped us build a real foundation, and the group setting gives Cookie the chance to practice in more dynamic environments. the progress has been genuinely remarkable, we went from being anxious around a STUFFED dog to being able to tolerate doggies in close proximity and walk next to them. if you’re on the fence, just give Kendall and Chan a buzz and try it out. whether you have a tricky dog, feel overwhelmed as a new owner, want real support, or even if you think your dog behaves well “most of the time”, this is the place. there is so much to dog training you didn’t know that you didn’t know, which Kendall and Chan will break down for you into bite size chunks to really hone your doggie’s skills and your own skills as the handler.

We've had both an ongoing issue with two of our rescue dogs and their reactive natures and, most recently, an escalated issue with one of them. We generally try to rescue dogs with an unhappy or questionable history, because we offer a quiet, patient, loving household to help give them a better life. But as a result, we often don't know their history or all of their triggers. With this recent escalated situation, I reached out to Kendall at Custom K9 Service Dogs. I've known Kendall tangentially for years through mutual friends, but this was the first time I had need of her services. Within hours of my reaching out, she had responded with so much kindness and compassion, assuring me that our dog was not a 'bad dog' (I never for a moment thought he was) and that I was not a 'bad dog mom' (still struggling with that one, but I'm coming around). She kept in constant communication over the last few days as I navigated the situation, and then this morning spent nearly a half hour on the phone with me, going through what happened and making suggestions not only for this instance, but for the ongoing unease we had with the more general issue of reactionary behavior. She was very patient with my anxious interruptions, and explained everything very clearly and thoroughly. Not only WHAT we should do, but WHY it makes sense, in dog psychology. Everything she said, I found myself saying, "Oh! That makes total sense!" Some of these things, I would never have thought of, and I'm really hopeful for, and feeling optimistic about, future success. However, she also made it clear that if something's not working, to give her a call back, and she can clarify or try other avenues to help us. In a time where I was anxious, upset, and scared, she was a beacon of calm and reassurance. Above and beyond her incredible advice regarding our dogs' behaviors, that is an invaluable trait. I'm so grateful!
