Curated Canines Dog Training

While Kylah seemed confident in her methods, I found that she was dismissive of my concerns as a dog owner. I was diligent in following the training (which she acknowledged), but over time, my dog’s reactivity returned and worsened while using her methods. Despite extra follow-up sessions with Kylah, I felt the reliance on the e-collar was not effective, and it even appeared to cause my dog distress. When I raised concerns about trying other methods, they were dismissed, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. She said the e-collar was the only way forward. In my experience, the training method did not offer long-term results, particularly for anxious dogs. The use of the e-collar felt more like a constant correction tool rather than a means to build real communication with my dog. It built up fear and anxiety. Before committing to an expensive training program, I would advise considering a different trainer if your dog is anxious. I’m saddened to leave this review but feel it’s important to share my experience.

Meredith changed our lives! Our dog, Maple, has been leash reactive since she was 6 months old. Her reactivity got to the point where we couldn't take her anywhere without her pulling on leash, jumping, lunging, and barking at everything. We enrolled her in the 4 week behavioral modification camp with Meredith and she came back a brand new dog. Meredith equipped us with the knowledge and skills to be able to confidently handle Maple in the busy neighborhood we live in. Whenever Maple inevitably has periods of regression, Meredith is always there to give us pointers or meet for private lessons. Maple is absolutely in LOVE with Meredith and it's so heartwarming to see how excited Maple gets when she works with her. No words can explain how thankful we are to have found Meredith and Curated Canines!! Thank you Meredith!

I had such a great experience with Curated Canine. My German Shepherd Kiba stayed for a three-week training and the progress he made has been incredible. His reactivity and prey drive have gone down so much. He’s responding to commands really well now and he’s noticeably calmer around my cats and even squirrels. Kayla has been amazing. She continues to work with me and Kiba during our follow-up sessions, helping us stay on track and preparing him for new experiences like meeting other dogs. She always answers my questions and gives helpful advice when we’re facing something new. I’ve learned a lot from her and feel more confident as a dog owner. Thanks to the training, I can finally go on hikes without my 90-pound dog dragging me along. Kiba has always been a good boy, but the training brought out an even better version of him. I truly trust Kayla and Meredith. They did an incredible job with him and treated him like one of their own. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring him back. He learned a lot and had fun along the way, which is all I could ask for.

Kylah is incredible!! Our 7-year-old doggo had only lived in a house w/ a yard, so when we moved to an apartment he was really having a hard time. He had never been through proper training, and so we did some basic lessons with Kylah and then decided on also doing the board and train! He came back from that a totally different dog 🥹 he went from being stressed/anxious on a leash to being super confident, his anxiety/reactivity went wayyy down around other dogs, and he feels so much happier. Kylah is amazing and so supportive, plus Winston (our doggo) LOVES her!! (They sent us this photo while he was staying with them 🩷)
