Cultured Canine Dog Training

The trainers are phenomenal! My Max had some new fears about riding in the car & since he is a therapy dog that made doing visits difficult. Alyssa & Annissia as well as their team worked with Max tirelessly and worked diligently with me to make sure I was following through with his training. He is now loading beautifully into the car & enjoying his adventures & going on visits. They are available by text or phone call to help problem solve when there are “bumps in the road” with training or just for questions. Max never wants to leave when he has been there for boarding or what we like to call Cultured Canine Camp! Nancy C.

I called Cultured Canine because of a referral based on their experience with a trainer here when they worked for a different company. They took several days to return my call. They are in Winston Salem (I'm on Charlotte)...but after talking with the sales person....I thought maybe their program would work for us and the yrek would be written out. They do overnight sessions and boarding for $80/night. With 4 nights or more they give you a mini lesson. I asked about the trainers. Sounds like they have 4 trainers on staff....one of them new. And the sales rep said she's trained in order for training/treatment of dogs to be consistent. Solid idea!! I was impressed. She stated that at any given time it could be any trainer (meaning multiple trainers during one visit) working with my dog. I asked about the facility, if there were cameras and can I see where he will be staying. RED FLAG Warning: they do not provide access to camera feed and dog owners are never allowed to see where they stay via camera, nor in person. No exceptions. Not even during an initial visit. There is no way in heck that I am going to send my dog to stay somewhere that I am not allowed to see with my own eyes!!! They said I could only visit the training areas and claimed i could see where he would be staying because of liability issues. I asked for her to speak to the owners and if they decided to change their mind. to have them give me a call. Haven't heard from anyone... so I'm going to assume they are sticking with their policy of...owners cannot visit where their dog will be sleeping. During the call and in their google review response....they keep talking about how a visitor could get bit....so...offer video feed to clients....if they have nothing to hide... this shouldn't be an issue. Honestly...they could offer it as an upcharge service and add value to the customer experience. They also keep saying how someone could get hurt....if they do not appear confident in securing other dogs' containment in a facility for human visitors....then HOW can anyone have confidence that you can secure other dogs from their dog??? NO THANKS! NEXT!!!! :(

I want to start by saying I have had dogs all my life. This is the first time I have had two dogs at the same time with behavioral issues that put me at my wit's end. When I brought one of the dogs into the vet for the yearly wellness checkup and we went over the problems I was having, he recommended Cultured Canine to help. Fast forward, all I can say is they were amazing in training my dogs. They talked with us before we decided what approach to take. We found them highly skilled and knowledgeable in dog training and behavior. This helped us decide to do inboard training as we thought that was best, and it was. We received updates, pictures, and videos while they were there. We had training sessions while they were boarded, so we could learn how to interact properly giving commands when they came home. We also had follow-ups after they came home to check on how they were doing. My Corgi who had behavior, almost aggressive issues, along with chasing cars has been the picture-perfect dog since he came home, not to mention the best walker ever (he ignores cars!!). My Shepherd who has OCD like behavior has improved tremendously outside from attacking sticks and rocks, and she now ignores dogs and squirrels on our walks which has been wonderful. I am also happy that I have a place I trust to board them when we go out of town because they know the dogs and their background and will work with them while they are there. I am looking forward to that! Overall I am very happy with the results and I am enjoying my dogs again!

The owners and staff are out of this world! I cannot say enough. They actually explained to me why we perform or teach a command a certain way. This makes easier to remember. I have had many dog trainers and these ladies and their staff truly love animals and want you to succeed. I have had several dogs go through their board and train. I highly recommend this plan. You know your dog is well cared for while in their hands. I also recommend their boarding when you are out of town. If you are in need of training, which will make you and your dog happier, give them a call. You will not regret it.
