We had such a wonderful experience with Cornerstone K9 and their training team! From the start, you can tell how much they truly care about the dogs and the families they work with. Sandy, our trainer was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and made the whole process feel comfortable and positive for us. We saw such a big difference in our dog—not just in behavior, but in confidence too—and it’s been so rewarding to see that growth.
They also took the time to guide us as owners, which made a huge impact. We feel so much more confident continuing the training at home. We’re beyond grateful for everything they’ve done and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and effective training program!

Let’s Start with Me: I’ve fostered 40+ dogs. I’ve seen and done it all when it comes to dog behavior but I reached a point where I knew I needed an expert. My personal dog caused my foster dog to bite me and I struggled to get a trainer to listen and consistently help.
Cornerstone came recommended from another foster so I put in a consultation request. Within a few days I had an hour long phone call with the owner Gina who said she would’ve fired the trainers I had dealt with before for their behavior. She thoughtfully placed me with James who was a former foster who’d been through a dog bite so I felt like he knew where I was coming from and where I wanted to go.
James worked with the foster dog who bit me for 4 weeks and me and her adopter are so grateful. He got her to be comfortable around other dogs. She previously refused to go on walks but now easily went on a 2.5 mile walk. Everyday, she blows us away with what she’s learned.
James worked with my personal dog for 3 weeks and she’s not perfect but she is so different. The day James picked her up I had to essentially hog tie her to do a sanitary cut and she nipped me multiple times. Now she easily accepts brushing and routine grooming. She responds to the e collar which gives us a hands free way to control her which is invaluable for future unpredictable interactions with fosters.
Do it. Book the consult. Pay the money. Cornerstone is intentional with training and so worth it.

The admin staff is wonderful, as is Jess who was my dog's trainer. They really listen to what you need and then match you with a trainer. Jess listened to my behaviorial concerns, incorporated them into her training and then explained "remedies" very carefully to me when my four year old bichon was returned home. An extra bonus was that he really liked her! I especially appreciated how she trained me to reinforce the good behaviors and correct his missteps. After two weeks with Jess, he and I have a plan to keep those good behaviors in place.
