Core K9 Training

Amber and Clayton are some of the only few people I trust with my dogs! We go to their structured daycare and it has helped my dogs with training, socialization, and exercise! One of my dogs was not the best behaved around other dogs. By taking her to structured daycare, she was able to get the supervised socialization she needed to realize she can exist around others! Amber took the time to allow her to adjust to meeting her personal dogs and to see that she’s not aggressive, she just gets excited. I am so thankful for these two and how they care for dogs! My poodles love going to daycare! 1000% worth our 40 min drive to see them!

Core K9 Trainers, Amber and Clayton, are beyond amazing! About six months into my search for a dog trainer, I came across a Core K9 Facebook post offering a six-week puppy training program. My 9-month old German Shepard was highly dog and male reactive. Thus, I was very hesitant about signing up for a training course involving other dogs. When I contacted Amber and shared that my dog had not had any socialization, she still encouraged me to sign up for the program. So, I did. When my mom and I arrived for the first group session, everyone was very friendly and inviting. After the lesson was over, Amber and Clayton spent an additional 45 minutes with us going over my dog's training needs. She also shared tools that I could use to make things easier. Since then, my dog has completed a three-week “board and train” program and graduated from the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class. He can now play with other dogs and interact with all different types of people. My dog now knows basic commands like sit, down, heal, place, and leave it. He was also taught not to pull when out for a walk and not to react negatively to other dogs. I now have the resources and confidence necessary to continue my dog’s training myself. I've enjoyed watching my dog mature and demonstrate his love for both Amber and Clayton. I can confidently say that my dog and I are now ready to return to college this fall, without any concerns. I cannot stress this enough - Core K9 training is absolutely fantastic! I will never entrust my dog to anyone else. I am so grateful to Amber and Clayton. They are not only my dog’s trainers but they are now also my cherished friends. Do it! If you are on the fence about enrolling in a class, board and train program, or a private session, take that leap of faith. It will alter your life and the life of your dog for the better.
