We just finished a board and train with our dog, Kuro. We felt supported by Sara from day 1, when she had a 10 minute phone call with me and gave me advice about my dog’s anxiety. Our situation became incredibly unique when our other dog ended up receiving a cancer diagnosis and having to undergo limb amputation. Sara immediately offered to extend his stay after his initial board and train to allow for our other dog to fully heal. This took an indescribable amount of stress off of our shoulders. We were sent home at pickup with an incredibly extensive packet of information and games to play with our dog. We are looking forward to our private sessions to continue fine tuning Kuro’s training. Thank you for your compassion and understanding! We wouldn’t have been able to navigate this situation without you!

We are so grateful to have found Connected Canine for our dog Dobby! Sara and her team are the best and we feel totally confident leaving Dobby there with them whether it’s for a short weekend or a long trip. He’s been a really anxious nervous dog most of his life (and afraid of men), but he is so comfortable and happy at Sara’s and loves her husband too. He always comes back home calm and happy and a lot of his anxious habits have actually faded since taking him to Connected Canine. It’s been rather remarkable and we are so grateful!! I also appreciate that she has package deals which makes boarding more affordable.

I honestly can't say enough great things about Sara and the Connected Canine certified trainers that she has working with the pups every day. My two golden retrievers (Nate and Andy AKA @golden_nandyboys) are 9 months old, they are brothers from same litter, and literally were a golden tornado of crazy! While they still have their personalities and definitely know how to play hard, they are so much tamer around our house and out in public. Jada and Erin were an incredible duo of trainers who worked with my boys every day. They taught them how to walk on a leash, how to sit and go down on command. They taught them how to behave out in public by taking them all over the city like PetsMart, Culinary Gangster restaurant, the Fashion Square Mall, TJ Maxx, Cabelas, the park and more places I can't remember to list. They also got to go to a farm and meet a horse! They taught them recall, so they can be up to 100ft from us and come when we call their name. And now they are teaching us so none of this training goes to waste. They cared for our boys like they were their own. Nate had some diarrhea and Sara made sure to give him some fiber and meds to firm up his poop, he was also car sick so she made sure he had some Dramamine to help with his sickness on road trips. They taught them to not fear or get upset when they are in their crates. They have made a 1000% difference for them and us and I owe them dearly for the hard work they have done with them. Our boys were there for 5 weeks, it was hard not seeing them, but they kept us updated through Instagram and FB stories, as well as detailed messages at the end of each week with what they are working on, how they are doing, and photos and videos. They just do a stupendous job. I researched soooo many places, I also toured 3 places, and interviewed 2 others. I posted a message on the Scottsdale Living FB group looking for suggestions for dog training and Sara reached out to me. We interviewed them at her house where they stay and train, and knew that was the place they needed to go. It seemed welcoming, comfortable, the staff was knowledgeable, and I love that they are not cookie cutter trainers, each pup is different so they cater the training to the pup and their needs. We will DEFINITELY continue our relationship with them. They offer alumni meetups and events, as well as additional training outside the 5 weeks the boys were there.

I brought my husky here for a two-week board and train, and the results were incredible. Huskies are notoriously difficult, but the trainers here really know dogs. My dog made so much progress in such a short time without E-collar. This isn’t a typical kennel—it’s a beautiful home with a great backyard, and all the staff are trainers. I now bring her back for daycare and boarding, and she loves it! and I feel comfortable knowing she’s cared for as if by a family.
