How would you feel being thrown into a group of 30 new people and being told “ok, go play nice with everyone?” Our Tyson did not do well at other daycares where your dog is thrown into large groups. He’s smart and well trained but needs an environment with more structure. This team takes Tyson to new locations (stores, hikes) to work with him in real life situations and works with him to remain calm (ish- he’s always going to be excited) when another dog walks by. This place is so good for Tysons brain stimulation, we are so glad to have found them!

I definitely recommend Confident K9 for your pups. I started bringing my rescue dog here because he was anxious, reactive and needed training. I had worked with a few other trainers who said he would never change or even go for a walk without reacting to people or other dogs. At Confident K9 I found a team of people who were patient and promised not to give up on him. He is still learning, but he has relaxed, is less reactive and overall is much happier. Both of my dogs are excited to see the trainers and staff when they get to the school, and I get a full report on the day’s activities when I pick them up. Our time at this facility, with this great team of people has been a very positive experience for me as well as my dogs.

This place is awful, do not recommend. We brought our dog here for training based on a recommendation from our doggy daycare. I trusted the recommendation and signed up for 4 days of training, sight unseen. My mistake. On arriving, the facility does not inspire confidence. It is in a warehouse type building that does not seem well set up for dogs. Despite our misfiring, we left our dog for the day. When we returned, he was chained to a post in an empty room with one other dog. He appeared unhappy, with his tail down and in a submissive posture. The "trainer", who was not the person we had discussed training with on the phone, gave us our leash and gentle leader, which our dog had chewed through. The gentle leader should not be used other than when on leash with a person, but clearly he was left unsupervised on the gentle leader of he had time to chew through it. The "trainer" offered our dog a treat as we left, and our dig, normally very food motivated, refused the treat. He simply wanted to leave asap. We immediately decided not to return for any additional "training." This company has a strict "no returns" policy on pre-purchased lessons. I can see why. In hopes of an amicable parting, we told the manager we weren't comfortable returning and requested a partial refund for the three unused training days. They flatly refused, with no apology. Despite losing hundreds of dollars of unused "training", there was no way we were taking him back. He was clearly unhappy, frightened, and did not benefit from any so-called training. I recommend you do not use this trainer, and if you do, only pay for one lesson at a time, because you will not get your money back.
