I contacted Work like a Dog because my Miniature Schnauzer had a bad grooming experience and had become aggressive when anyone other than myself handled him. I had an appointment to get him neutered, but a friend of mine explained to me that neutering would not change anything because it was a behavior issue. Jonathan reached out immediately and followed up with. Johnathan was very thorough, knowledgeable, and showed the upmost professionalism. He never raised his voice, he was very patient with Apollo, he remained calm, and made the training fun and rewarding for Apollo. He took his time with Apollo. Within the first 2 sessions he was able to gain Apollo’s trust and I was amazed! Jonathan knows what he is doing and he assured me that this behavior could be fixed (because I was starting to lose faith in my pup before we started training). I believe by the fourth session Apollo allowed Jonathan to pick him up and completely handle him. The last time I took Apollo to the VET prior to training with Jonathan, Apollo had to be muzzled because he totally freaked out. I took Apollo to the VET after training with Jonathan and had no issues. He took 4 shots like a champ and let the VET and VET assistant handle him with not even a growl. He didn’t make a sound. Apollo is a different dog now because of Jonathan. Apollo has reverted back to his easy-going self and is now willing to trust human strangers again. This training was also training for me. Everything is a work in progress and I will continue to follow-up with the training and hand signals Jonathan taught me to work with Apollo. Jonathan has made himself available anytime if I have questions, or need follow-on lessons. Jonathan has been great to work with! He has brought a sigh of relief to my dog and I, and I so appreciate him for that! I highly recommend Work like a Dog and Jonathan specifically for your dog training needs! You will not be disappointed. I will be looking to him for future follow-on lessons, and any new dogs I have.
