Companion Canine Dog Training

I have a different dog after working with Companion canine! Becky and Giuseppe are kind, calm and encouraging. They set up an atmosphere of success in all situations. My dog Max and I did beginning,intermediate and advanced training at PetSmart. We learned more in one private session with Giuseppe than we did an all three of those classes. After a series of private sessions we joined in group classes and agility classes with Lexi. We have had so much fun in all of those classes and my dog Max loves them. I can take him anywhere now after working with Giuseppe. Everywhere we go I always get compliments on Max’s behavior and I can count on Max to come through every time.

We were planning to get a new Australian Shepherd puppy and knew we wanted to get started right out of the gate with training, as we didn’t want to be trying to correct bad behaviors after the fact. We had seen Companion Canine’s ads & liked their approach, so decided to contact them for a consultation. Our initial consultation with Gueseppe helped solidify that Companion Canine was who we wanted to use for training. In advance of bringing our new puppy home, Gueseppe met with us to talk through what to do the first few weeks we had our new puppy and how we should prepare our home for her. We started out with 8 in-person training sessions and the monthly pack walks. Every step along the way, Gueseppe provided invaluable tips to help us get our new puppy feeling confident & comfortable. When we were struggling with something, Gueseppe handled the problem with ease and our high-energy puppy responded perfectly, allowing us to use the steps Gueseppe demonstrated to replicate those behaviors as we worked with our puppy ourselves. We were able to communicate with Gueseppe outside of our regular training sessions and get feedback to address issues and/or get reassurance that what we were doing was the right thing. If you’ve ever had an Aussie pup, you know they are a lot of work and even though she wasn’t our first one, we probably would have given up on her if Gueseppe hadn’t been in the picture to coach us through it. The great news is that Gueseppe never gave up on us, although I’m sure he wanted to at times! We’ve continued to hold periodic sessions with Gueseppe and the progress we’ve seen in our puppy has been phenomenal – she just responds so well to him and it’s helped us learn how best to communicate with our dog to get the results we want. We honestly could not have accomplished with our pup what we have without working with Companion Canine. In addition to the in-person training & pack walks, we’ve also boarded our puppy with Becky & Gueseppe multiple times and we always know she’ll be in good hands while she’s with them. We are certain she feels like she’s going to “fun camp” when she goes to stay with them for a few days! We’re really excited to move to the next step of advanced lessons in a group setting as we’re confident it will allow us to get to the next level in training with our dog.
